PS3HEN New PS3 Firmware update 4.87

Is there gonna be a 4.78 rebuglite? I'm new to this stuff and not 100% on what's going on. I know I'm on cfw

I'd suggest keeping an eye on this thread for 4.87 CFW releases, which will be added as and when they become available.

The Auto HEN Installer has been updated by @lmn7 to support 4.87. Get the files here and be sure to see the OP of that thread for instructions and special notes!

you don't need the pkg from my above post for this. it will install a working 'Enable HEN" icon on its own.

A noob question, as I literally installed Hen 4.86 the day before Sony gave us this update:
as a Hen user, can I follow your instructions above, have a 4.87.1 HFW, a working Hen that can be enabled for this new HFW and also access PSN (of course before Hen-enabled for safety)?
Im only syncing trophies, but I do also need Hen access for some games.

also hen is not jailbreak. jailbreak means installing cfw.

You have to wait for the official HEN to come out (1 or 2 weeks), there´s nothing for 4.87 neither CFW nor HEN, so please, don´t be impatient and wait.

Very nice - safe to assume that at that point I can install the HFW updat via usb, then Hen can auto update from the ps3exploit site when I choose Enable Hen?

Use at your own risk, there are people stuck in there that hen feature doesn't available (Need updating) even developer said need to wait for this..

Also if you using hen this also means cannot rollback unless wait for hen xploit to be released

I can confirm that. launched multiman and it shut down.

of course auto-update is gonna get some people. don't enable hen while you are connected to the internet! (you can go online after enabling) it is safe to enable hen while online. i just tried. the site is reporting 3.0.1 as latest version so no auto-update.

after I researched it

apparently many people are impatient

and the mistake is the first release without hen update

and they tried the latest firmware without hen on the update and nothing at all

and they are stuck and can't do anything

why are they so impatient even though it's only the firmware

There is no CFW, let alone the latest hen update

Yes this is exactly what happened to me... I got it fixed once with a fresh HFW install and HEN 3.01 Worked great until i installed hentoolbox it broke the enabler now it just freezes enabling hen.

attempting a fresh HFW again... And hen 3.01 wish me luck... Also for some reason now my PS3 will not connect to local server gives an error can't remember the number... but the ps3 devwiki said the fix was to turn off the ps3 And unplug it then turn it back on and create a new connection ? has anyone else had this trouble ?
