PS2 New to freemcboot and mx4sio need some help

So I just purchased a freemcboot and an mx4sio. The freemcboot says mx4 archived version. The mx came with a 128gb Microsoft and has iso files on it, which I was unaware of.

Majority if not all do not load. They say configuring... and it hangs there. I did download a newer loader, 1629, as suggested by a YouTube video I watched.

Not sure if its the game iso or the configuration in general which none of them will load.

Assuming those ISOs are commercial games that's piracy and against the rules.

Also, it's just as likely as not your problem is the MX4SIO. Those knockoffs seem to be real hit or miss. Maybe consider getting one of the ones here from Workz_777. Especially if you want support. Nobody wants to be spending a bunch of their time giving support for inferior knockoffs that are probably just flawed to begin with.

only freeware games for ps2 i know of are homebrew games found HERE. most are not iso files.

if any of those iso are more than a few megabytes, they are most likely pirated.

I found them on an archive site, beats of rage being one. I dont know if they are actually iso files, I just thought all games were iso. I havent done any modding or anything of the sort for probably 15 or more years. the games I looked up that were on it said freeware stuff and it doesnt seem to do much on most but say loading config...

Does it matter the PS2 slim or fat? I believe my slim is like 79000 and my fat is 39000

assumed incorrect. I am using what are classified as freeware ones and the MX came from a reputable place, shouldnt be a knock off.
Beside very few people like @Workz_777 who create them according to the official specs, there ARE NO "reputable sources" right now........

They are ALL "Clones", but should work!
