So I'm using an audio extractor to get an optical audio output from my AVR since it doesn't have one.
The optical output is connected to the optical input of my USB Sound Card on my PC, that way I can hear the sound from my AVR on my headset while chatting with my friends over Teamspeak.
This works flawlessly for my Xbox One, 360 and PS4, but I don't have any sound when I'm In-Game on my PS3 and I can't figure out why.. When I'm within the XMB I can hear the sound from navigating through the menu and the boot sound, but as soon as I start the game it switches and the sound goes off. But it's still transmitted via HDMI, so if I play on my TV the sound comes through my AVR perfectly fine while playing, just not when I'm at my PC monitor using the audio extractor.
I already tried setting PCM 44.1KHz and PCM 48KHz within the Audio Settings because my USB Soundcard only supports these formats but it still won't work while playing games.
It's really frustrating since the PS3 is the only console that I can't play on my PC monitor while chatting with friends, except if I ignore the missing sound but that's not an option..
Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?
