PS2 Noctua quiet fan mod on 30001R - heat concerns?

I installed the TPO quiet fan mod to my 30001R a few days ago. I love the quiet, but the fan seems like it is moving less air and thus I am worried whether the console will run hotter than it does with the stock fan. Has anyone tested whether the console in fact runs hotter with this mod and if so whether it runs hot enough that the console could overheat and break?

You should monitor your CPU/RSX temps when idle & after gaming 30mn using a demanding high res PS3 game like TLOUS or whatever.
Report your findings if you wish further advice.

You can use any backup manager to check temps at runtime but WebMAN-MOD/sMan are probably the easiest tools to use for this, you can get your PS3 temps from your smartphone or PC browser.

Ideally you should have taken note of the temps before & after applying the fan mod so you could have compared them.

Thank you for your response. To clarify, I installed the fan mod on a PS2 console, not a PS3. Here's a good video showing the mod:

Your better off buying a used fan as the Noctua doesn't perform as well as the normal fan, I got a Nidec fan from a 50003 and it's still very quiet.
The seller is using the wrong fan, if you are going to get it then you will have to swap out the 12v for a 5v version of the Noctua fan, otherwise, the fan will run at half speed, since there isn't enough voltage being supplied to the 12v fan
Running a 12v fan at 7v does mean quieter operation, but it also means less air moved and less cooling capacity.
Many people are too fixated on the quietness of the fan and end up ignoring the more important details by replacing the original fans in these old games consoles like the PS2.
A Nidec D06R-07B1S1 is what you need.
