PS3 HAN [OBSOLETE] [Tutorial] The Great PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN All In One Guide

I understand xD
You won't have to worry about me becoming a troublemaker. I just got a little ahead of myself xD
I'm an easy going person myself, I don't bash people for having simple questions or not understanding certain content, I've been there and am STILL there on alot of issues.

I think I'll be able to get along with everyone and not become a nuisance to you guys.
once again, thanks for the clarification. :D

Hey guys, just picked up a system not realizing it was 3001a to replace my dead CFW system and I'm struggling with an early step at the moment. Hopefully someone can help me out. Currently I'm on the ACT/IDPS dump step trying to initialize the process but after about 10 attempts it comes back failed every time. I've tried it on my home wifi (which is showing 100% signal strength) as well as my mobile hotspot from my phone and nothing. I was wondering how important this step is and if it could be skipped, or if not, how I can get this working. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as I've been out of the console modding game since before 4.00 so it's been a while.

Just set that page as homepage then delete everything possible in the browser like cookies, history etc. activate psn account by going to account management

It will fail alot. It took me some 25-30 attempts. It takes patience to get this set up.
It's very important to get your console's ACT/IDPS as you'll need it for the programs you will use later to inject them into the games in order to fool the console into thinking they are legit ps3/psn games.

^
Main thing, save it as your homepage, once you've got it all over with you can just set the HAN enabler as the homepage. I also recommend looking into PKG Linker and setting yourself up for offline enabling after this, as it loads much faster and doesn't ever fail.

Are you following the instructions?
Did you set the exploit page as homepage then restarted the browser? If you don't restart the browser, setting the homepage will change nothing.

An alternative is setting the homepage as blank & the exploit pages as bookmarks. Restart the browser & choose the bookmark for the exploit you want to run.

If you use either method, initialization will succeed. The only reason why the HAN Toolbox never fails is because it loads the exploit page directly, similar to using the homepage trick.
Any browsing or even the default PlayStation homepage that you stop is enough to flood the browser memory with data & impede initialization.
This has been described on dozens of threads, it's in the OP of the release threads & on the ps3xploit website instructions!

Have you activated your console?

Does anyone actually have any luck converting psp games? Some Minis seem to be working, but I haven't gotten any progress with PSP Remasters. And yes, I did just like the tutorial, from top to bottom, but all I got after installing is a black screen.

PSP compatibility is pretty low. I've tested a few psp games and one mini. The mini game (a space shooter for 2 bucks) is the only one that worked for me, so far

Check this compatibility list http://tinyurl.com/PSPPS3

It is not very accurate, but it should give you an idea of some playable games.

I've got a few of my PSP games working. Star Ocean - First Departure & Second Evolution work (almost flawlessly), with the battle system glitching a little bit when someone jumps, they slowly fall down or the characters you're not controlling begin to just keep floating continuously further and further up xD.
Also, haven't played too far into it but Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII is working,
AND Tales of Eternia works well.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep just shows a black screen, which probably has something to do with the install data screen that usually pops up when you first turn the game on. If anyone happens to know a work-around for this I'd greatly appreciate it.

PSX games have the best compatibility on the PS3.

Hello guys,

I installed the hack and everything. Managed to transfer games to the PS3, sadly I'm having a tough time with the Rif/Dat Copier as it seems to either fail initially or fail to copy the files thus not allowing me to play any games. Can any tell me where the problem might be?

P.S I enable HAN and login to PSN every time. I've watched videos and I'm pretty confident I've done most things right. I'm with the newest HAN toolbox version as I downloaded it a few days ago- which imo could be the problem as it seems to be somewhat buggy.

If you are unsure about the HAN Toolbox then you should try the **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) exploit page to see if it works OK.

Failure to copy the files may only have 2 possible causes:
1. Problem reading from the usb device because of using bad filenames, using a wrong usb port, using an incompatible usb device, using an incompatible partition like ntfs or using a device partitioned with GPT instead of MBR etc...
2. The user profile destination folder doesn't exist on /dev_hdd0/home/... because the user profile isn't activated so the destination folder doesn't exist.

Btw, the PS3 is reading the flash, cause I had success with it reading the Rif 5-6 times out of 30 tries, but it failed to copy the files. And I am using the Act dat/Rif copier from ps3xploit. The 2nd part I didn't understand.

Here are some answers to the questions you asked by pm.
1. The rif/act copier doesn't read/write from/to the flash memory. The home profile folder is located on the internal hdd ie /dev_hdd0.
2. Reinstall ofw 4.82 if you want to remove HAN or the HAN Toolbox.
3. When you sign into PSN, a new folder is created in /dev_hdd0/home. The name of the folder is a number ie /dev_hdd0/home/00000001. Each ps3 user account has a different profile folder using a different number. On system activation, a unique act.dat file is created in the user profile folder.
4. You should not have initialization issues with the Toolbox. With the **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) page you shouldn't have init problems either if you set the exploit as homepage, restart the browser & never try to reload the exploit page ie you must restart the browser after each run.
5. I already explained the only 2 possible causes for the failures to copy the files. If you are sure that the current user profile folder exists then try another USB device or reformat the current device. Try another USB port etc...

Hello, I'm following the guide to backup my games… I'm currently using backup-pkg… My question is when am I going to need act.dat and idps.hex? No program asked me these files to now...

You need those files to feed to the PC application ie the ps3xploit Resigner to resign game pkg files.
Resigning PSN pkg files with the ps3xploit Resigner is necessary otherwise the pkg installation would fail.

Copy/Paste your act.dat and idps.hex files inside this directory in the ps3exploit Resigner:
WORK\ps3xploit-resigner\rifgen
(the folders may contain -master at the end of them, depending on which version you are using.)

Are you sure about that? Because I signed one game (three pkgs) without putting the act and idps files in and it worked.
The GitHub page of the project (https:// github. com/PS3Xploit/PS3xploit-resigner) only mentions act and idps for RAP files.

EDIT: Oh wait you said PSN pkg files, i'm talking about "extracted from bluray" pkg files
