PS3 HAN [OBSOLETE] [Tutorial] The Great PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN All In One Guide

Hi,

First of all I would like to thank you for this brilliant guide. I have a ps3 super slim cech4004A and almost lost faith until i found this guide.

I managed to install start the party, tekken 6, fifa 18, burnout Paradice and god of war ascension. All working perfectly no issues at all.

I am having a issue with Gran Turismo 6, evertime i run DoBat for creating the pkg's i only get 2 pkg's, the game and the LIC pkg. When using the resigner and installing onto PS3, the game launches but no error or anything occurs stuck on black screen.

I think this is due to no patch.pkg that is created when i run do.bat. also an error is received: the number of directories was restricted max 4096 registration error.

Any help would be highly appreciated searched everywhere but cannot find answers.
Bonjour, j'ai une ps3 super slim cech4004A, et je voudrais savoir comment injecter des jeux.
Merci.

You could use Google translate to translate your post to English.
Hello,
excuse me for French. I forgot to translate.
I managed to insert the game FIFA with "CFW2OFW Helper", "ps3xport_tool_v1.1", and "PARAM.SFO.EDITOR", but there are games that I do not convert.

Have a noob question. I just got into this whole scene. Was able to get everything working, after a few hangups. My question is, if you are transferring .pkgs with pkg linker, are the files left on the console after installation and if they are, can you delete them? Didn't realize that PS3 games could get up to around 40Gb and I could really use the extra space.

Hello,
I have already injected 1 game. how am I going to add others without clearing the game
Thank you
Welcome brother,
You can add as many games as much you own just update all games with cfw2ofw helper and put all the converted games into "inject" folder in ps3xport tool.
Hope it helps:)

Well I think no,Because a game contains only necessary files. There are some files that are not so necessary and the game can run without them but every game has its own balance.Every developer tries to make game best and smaller in size.If we delete some files we face problems. That is why i personally suggest you to buy a used hdd from ebay you can find them at very cheap prices.Because removing some files would allow you to save just a few space and after that you will face problems.

There is a method to install game install data by creating it on RPCS3 and changing PARAM.sfo from the original one.

kindly add that method in this guide too

Normally packages are deleted after install automatically when using PKG Linker (or downloading from psn for example), however it is possible if your console crashed during install or download that there might be some traces left behind.

If you suspect there is some space missing, you can go into /dev_hdd0/tmp/np_pkg/ in the file explorer in han toolbox if on HAN OFW, or any file manager/FTP if on CFW. Any partially downloaded or currently downloading pkgs should be there, just press triangle and select unlink(folder), then reboot into recovery mode and rebuild database. AFAIK this will recover your lost space if there is any.

There are 2 additional paths that could leave some space in use if the console crashes in middle of an installation or deletion of a game:
/dev_hdd0/game/_INST_<timestamp>
/dev_hdd0/game/_DEL_<timestamp>

These folders are created when a package is installed or when a game data or a PSN game is deleted through XMB.

You can save some valuable disk space (and transfer time) using my PS3RIP tool before creating the pkg of game backups.

It is very common that the games (specially BCES/BLES) repeat folders and videos for different languages, but you normally use only one. PS3RIP helps to replace the files of the unwanted languages with files of 0 bytes. In some cases you can save many GB.

Using PS3RIP sounds great, but that is for disc backups correct? What about PSN games? On another note, I installed God of War HD and it worked fine the first time I started it. Second time it just gave an error code when trying to launch it. Isn't a big issue, just though I'd mention it in case someone had some input as to what is happening. I followed all steps in the guide for installing PSN PKGs. I actually have a lot of questions that I can't find answers for lol. I'm basically using all of the tools that this guide says to use, but I know there are others that work with HAN.
