PS3 HAN [OBSOLETE] [Tutorial] The Great PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN All In One Guide

sorry i forgot it.

it is error: 80029563 after 14%

i installed placeholder one time

shall i install the rif data?

Well, normally if your placeholder is installed, there should be no problems. Plus, even if you don't have the rif, the PS3 should normally let you finish the installation of your PKG file.

Is it necessary to resign blu ray games? Read somewhere its a waste of time and should just install with debug pkgs enabled. Lic edat is included sooo.

  • For HAN:
    • DO NOT RESIGN with Ps3Xploit-Resigner CFW2OFW retail disc conversions (aka Debug Packages) because that's not necessary, just wastes time and power.
    • A Debug PKG, the default CFW2OFW output PKG from TrueAncestor_PKG_Repacker_v2.45 or make-backup-pkg, is installed with Debug Package activated. An CFW2OFW convert installed in Debug Package mode will not require HAN activated every play; it runs just like an injected backup or DTU convert. Why? Because retail disc CFW2OFW converts already has licences in them, the LIC.EDAT.
    • You can also save time using PS3GameExtractor.exe. Package the NPXBXXXXX and BLXXXXXXX files. Install the games (not Han) in parts, always using Debug PKG.

This is where i read it " psdevwiki. com/ps3/CFW2OFW_Compatibility_List" Also mention split files, Wasted a whole day on those..

Hi everybody
I'm an HFW 4.84.2 i have install some games but when i wan't to installing the rap fil signed i have an error 80029564
I have dumping act et idps and I put them in the act_dat and idps_hex folder of PS3xploit-resigner-3.0.0.
I put the rap of the games in the folder raps and clic on resign_windows.bat i have a file named PKG_RIF-INSTALLER.pkg_signed.pkg in the output folder that i put after in my ps3.
I boot ps3 enable HAN and install PKG_RIF-INSTALLER.pkg_signed.pkg but it dosent work
It's possible to resign a rap file and installing with the hfw 4.84 ?

I have one problem when creating PS2 pkgs with PS2 classics gui

Right at the part when i have to click "Make pkg", and after i select the respective ISO.BIN.ENC file and write the ID (the game being whatever one, i'm trying both Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams Disc 1, and Growlanser 5),

It gets stuck after it says "Creating package file...", and then nothing of nothing happens, no error, no nothing, just sits there for hours.

I can notice that in the folder i have the ISO.BIN.ENC file, a folder named PS2PKG gets created but then gets deleted immediately?

I've also installed a lot and all the required redistributable C++ packages that i know off, i have no other problems with any other application, i've installed ps3 games so and so, and other stuff...

I've tried running the application as administrator mode, and also having the file in different folders. One in my main users> C:/Users/Myuser/Game/ISO.BIN.ENC
and one directly under C> C:/Game/ISO.BIN.ENC

But it's the same result nonetheless. Any help?

It seems i can't edit my previous post to avoid double-posting
Anyways
Fixed it surprisingly by changing my region locale from japanese to united states english
Odd

Now, i have another problem, a black screen when i boot up the game
If i press the power button, i get send to the menu instead of turning off the console

I think i couldn't quite grasp some parts of this tutorials, and i'm not really sure what fixed it but i followed another one
I guess i can't link, so i'll say the tutorial is from the user Amido in another page, and in another language, titled "[ARTIGO DO LEITOR] CONVERTER ISO DE PS2 PARA O PS3 HAN"
If i have to guess, i'd say its the part where you open the pkg with ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign.exe
In this tutorial i thought they'd mention to sign it with ps3ExploitResignMaster AND with your act.dat and idps.hex
I THINK that's why the black screen
But not sure

I have another question regarding compatibility
Suppossedly a game that's already a PS2 Classic is compatible, but that would be a pkg made by Sony, no?
Not a direct ISO from a ps2 game converted by an user, like me
Am i wrong?
I am saying that because i read some comments that there are some hiccups here and there in the emulator but not sure if present in the original PS2 classic ver. too

Hi, so im trying to install han in a super slim, i've done it in 4.82, but now, after the installation the console resets and it just freezes. help :\

@Fin9ersMcGee you have removed the link to HAN support files. But these are still needed for installing HAN, which is required to get Package Manager that is in turn used to install HEN offline enabler...

HEN is still in its early days and the thread I linked to for HEN 2.0 Release does have links for the HAN support files.

Truth be told I just wanted to edit this thread to say it was obsolete and leave the thread and links in its entirety but I exceeded the link limit from my last edit and I couldn't save the changes, so I just removed all links so my edits took effect.

As there are few issues currently with HEN and some homebrews conflicting (not to mention the HEN is only about a week old), solid information is scarce. But with some time and effort from everyone here, we can iron out the kinks.

After all that, I'll sit myself down one day and whip up a new AIO Guide (If free time permits)

Encountered an issue, i tried loading some homebrews but didn't load, the ps3 made a loud buzzing sound so i chose quit icon but it restarted then the ps3 is telling me to plug the ds3 then press ps button, i did that but after that it's saying the ps3 didn't switch on/off properly, I'm scared I'll brick my ps3 if i proceed so i unplugged it
What should i do, please help

Are we talking HAN or HEN?

Either way, if you get this message, just let the Ps3 do its thing and you'll be back at the XMB.

It's a failsafe feature to fix anything broken during the forced shutdown

Hi. I installed & filled my PS3's 2 TB drive with ripped ISOs a couple of years ago using HAN. I'm not interested in homebrew stuff. Will I still be able to use it normally connecting to the old HAN site or am I forced into upgrading everything to HEN?

I think you also should install HAN Toolbox, just to be able to enable it without need to connect to **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new).
