PS3 odd ps3 YLOD

last night i went to play some dishonored on the ps3 and i noticed the fan speed stayed at 20% the entire time while the rsx and cell were getting hotter and hotter i figrued this was normal but i started to get concerned when the cell hit about 65C (150 degress) and went to turn it off but it shut itself off before i could. no overheating warning or anything and fan stayed on 20%, so i left it off and unplugged it all night and plugged it back in today and it booted fine so i went to check the syscon logs on ps3toolset and noticed 2 new errors that wernt there before, a 1701 and a 14FF, so i looked them up and while i was doing that the ps3 shut off and started YLOD again (i got it broken with YOLD and fixed it) so i fiddled with it till it turned on agian and checked the logs again to a bunch of new errors, 4401, 3034, 2120, 1802, and the 1701 and 14FF still being there.the console is modded and has webman all all that (was modded then unmodded before being modded again.) its also a CECHH01 model not sure if this is the early signs of bga failure or if something else is up with it, if anyone else has dealt with this or might have a better idea of whats up than i do id like to hear it.

3034 is a fail due Bad connection in gpu. 90nm gpu have the failure bumpgate. Watch this!!

ive seen the video before and with a bit more research it does seem to be the start of a bad bga but im not 100% sure. im hoping its maybe something with the repair i did but thats wishful thinking im still open to see if anyone else has any idea whats happening with it maybe its just being dumb or something.

65C is nothing to worry about. in fact it is a very good temperature. staying under 70C on 90nm is safe.
you have a 3034 bit training error and some data errors, so yep, its clearly your bga that is faulty. i would recommend putting a new rsx on it.

yea i was figrueing itd be that sadly i dont have a whole reball hot air staion so replacing it is off the table for now plus it aint a backwards compat so not really in a rush to fix it. also might be a dumb question but would adding a bit of pressure over the rsx make the bumps make contact so it would work or would that just speed up the process or something,

makes sense well ill just play it till its out then figrue something out from there thanks for the replies!

It will just damage the solder by applying uneven pressure. Reball and smaller litography RSX is the solution, but not viable for a non-BC unit, especially not a CECHH.

yea i dont plan to fix it anytime soon illl prob just sell it parts and grab a slim later unless i get intrested in replacing the rsx for whatever reason
