Only basic snes emulation?

I recently noticed that some of the most popular super nintendo emulators on the PS2 can't run games with the enhancement chips - Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG, Star Fox, Megaman X2, etc.

I've tried Snes Station and Snes9x 2002 (from Retroarch) with no luck. Is bsnes difficult to port over or something? I can get all my roms to run fine in bsnes on my pc, but you'd think ps2 could emulate all snes games no problem with hardware included, given it's strictly a gaming console and came out 10 years after the Super Nintendo. I've been meaning to check out Snesticle cuz I heard good things, but people complain you have to burn roms to a cd-rom or dvd to get them to work with the emulator.

In the Retroarch there is several different "info" files for the emu in the downloaded zip. I'm not sure what that means there's several versions of snes9x and even a bsnes file. I don't know how to change info just the cores. I might have to keep messing with it; there might be support after all. Also, you can't just upload retroarch onto a usb or your mc; it won't detect any roms in the hdd. You have to upload it directory to the hdd for that.

I don't think there's any question the PS2 can emulate SNES but it comes down to lack of developer interest.
It's the same situation with PSP/Vita/PS3/etc; lots of power yet to be unlocked, but people have just moved-on due to time.
Especially in this case with a PS2 SNES emulator.

As for enhancement chip game support there may be an emulator/config that supports it but I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't and the situation never changes.
