Hey everyone!

I'm new to the ps2 scene. I recently bought a 2tb HDD, made myself a FMCB card, and was able to format and partition everything correctly. I threw the ELF file on the HDD under the apps folder (partition) I made.

I can launch OPL 1.0 from the ELF launcher, but i tried a few guides and i can't seem to get OPL to the home screen. I followed the AIO guide to:

1: go to MCboot config and config OSDYS
2: Select an empty entry tap X and put a name (i used 'OPL") and edit path 1 to thge OPL ELF file on the HDD.
3: Went back to main screen and clicked 'Save CNF to Mc1' (my FMCB card is in slot 2)
4: Rebooted everything and OPL is still not there. Went back to config and everything saved and says its still on the path I selected.

Not sure what i'm doing wrong, though i may be missing something simple..

Thanks for the help!

Copy OPL to memory card,
or if you want to use paths for HDD install FHDB.

What is FHDB?

Free Harddisk Drive Boot (FHDB) is basically FMCB that gets installed onto the PlayStation 2 console's HDD unit. It does everything like FMCB does, but is meant to be used with the Sony HDDOSD (Browser update v2.00).

Patched/modified copies of the HDDOSD may not work, although non-Sony disks are supported by FHDB itself.
***Whether the hacked HDD OSD supports non-Sony disks or not depends on whether it was modified to support non-Sony disks.***

Modifying or getting a pre-modified copy of the HDDOSD is not under this project, which is why that topic will not be discussed here.

Like with FMCB, FHDB will not allow you to boot games that you cannot already play. This means no playing of burned and imported discs.

And once You will install FHDB, edit "hdd0:/__sysconf/FMCB/FREEHDB.CNF":
Code:
hdd0:<partition name>:pfs:/<direct path to executable>
i.e "hdd0:+OPL:pfs:/Open PS2 Loader v1.0.0.elf".
