PS2 OPL HDD Not Recognized by WinHIIP

I've been using my OPL HDD for a long time, and finally wanted to add new games to it. I pulled it from my PS2, connected it to my PC via direct-SATA, but WinHIIP can't see any PS2 drives. However, the drive is recognized by my PC as 'Disk 1'. Please see this screenshot: https://ibb.co/ftFNgCv Request for assistance as to why my working OPL drive might not be recognized by WinHIIP.

Update: I think my drive is corrupt so I'm going to attempt a fresh OPL build. I expect the drive to then be recognized.

Update 2: This is solved by running WinHIIP as ADMIN. Makes sense, but easily overlooked. Ideally WinHIIP would include this recommendation when flashing "No PS2 Formatted Drives" - it would save dummies like me hours of google searching and Youtube watching.

WinHIIP doesn't handle properly disks above 1TiB. You will kill Your partition chain if use WinHIIP to install games on it. Be warned. :P

Use HDL Dumb or and GUI/Frontend for HDL Dump. Like this one, which I strongly recommending:

This is actually great advice, and I was able to connect my freshly formatted PS2 drive to my PC (formatted with ULaunchELF). Howeverm HDL Dumb opens in a super tiny GUI window, to the point I can't actually do anything with it. Is there a way to resize? Picture: https://ibb.co/6DgYK0m

The latest build still wasn't working for me, but I'm situated with HDLBatch - it does what I need. My only outstanding question (which I can't find in forums) is how to update the FMCB version of FHDB. My HDD has content, but every guide says to format the HDD before installing the new version of FMCB. This doesn't make sense, since it would wipe all games. Is there a method to update FCMB for FHDB drives that won't wipe games? (i.e. simply run the new installer and installer over the existing build?

Uninstall and reinstall from the official installer
