PS2 OPL Manager - Tool to manage your games! 24

Do you know any way/program for installing a partition just at the first free space there is??

I mean, I delete the first installed game on HDD and want to create the +OPL partition in its place (so to be on HDD beginning). It is possible?

try if you want, but launch HDDChecker afterwards to repair the damages caused by doing such a thing.

In the future, please create +OPL Right after formatting HDD

wLaunchELF 4.43x_isr (available in my profile) or 4.43a_khn are recomended for this

I know, I made many Ps2 HDDs in the past, always making sure to avoid any problem.

This 2TB HDD is my personal one that I use on Ps2. I wasn't interested in conver arts when I made it some years ago and wanted to save all the space for games. But now I changed my mind (mostly because, after installing all the games, there are about 650GB of free space '^^).

Anyway the story went on, se from here: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/wlaunchelf-release-thread.13727/page-12#post-314654

I know you're an expert about HDD, so if you have any advice or information about how the expand function actually works, please let me know in the Wlaunchelf thread (don't answer me here anymore, so the discussion won't be splitted between two forum threads).

Hi @danielb

Thanks for your work!

Do you plan to replace HDL dump by NBD client in OPL Manager?

Because since OPL v1.1.0, HDL server had been replaced by NBD client.

Before, we could run HDL server in OPL and then configure OPL Manager in network mode to access to the PS2.
Now, it is not possible anymore.
We have to use hdl_svr.elf or an old version of OPL to access to the PS2 with the network mode of OPL Manager.

Thanks!

NBD server makes your PC think that the hdd is locally connected.
Meaning that there's no need to update anything on OPLM-Side

Nice!
Can you add splitting ZSOs, but with a "zul"-file (or whatever)?

Adding that additional file-read to OPL in the end should be trivial.

Also... Take a look @Acid_Snake!

That is up to the original dev of the ZSO format i guess, if it's added, i will add support for it to OPLM as well.

It is just splitting files like ISOs and basically the same list, but another filename.

The OPL side is up to others, yes.

Yes!
Small stuff to add "Split ZSO-Support" and it would work on all filesystems (currently in test-builds FAT12/FAT16/FAT32/ExFAT) and all BDM devices (USB, MX4SIO, FireWire, UDPBD) as well!

@danielb What about a selection for the size of the ul-slices/chunks?

I sure would like to try 1.99/2GB files (those should work) as well as 3.98/4GB files (I doubt they will work.) with old loaders like USB Advance and PS2ESDL, as well as OPL of course!

Less cluttered up ul-folders, while keeping compatibility sounds good to me. :)

I'm not sure i understand you? OPLM never actually did ul splitting. It only reads it

Hello Daniel. do you plan to do in a new update, support for OPLManager to read the APPS directory and the config_apps.cfg file of the latest OPL?

Something changed? OPLM supports reading the conf_apps.cfg in USB and SMB mode. Internal HDD is not supported.
