OPL Manager - Tool to manage your games!

PS2 OPL Manager - Tool to manage your games! 24

I'm not sure i understand you? OPLM never actually did ul splitting. It only reads it
Oh! I didn't remember that. This would be an interesting feature though. ul-splitting and ZSO splitting.
It should be an easy task as well IMO.

Actually i always wanted to add ul installation support but never came around to do it...
I'm not sure if it's still relevant tho, since now there is exFat support, and so the 4gb file limit is no longer a problem?

Something changed? OPLM supports reading the conf_apps.cfg in USB and SMB mode. Internal HDD is not supported.

Sorry for not expressing myself well, I was talking about METHOD 2 that appears here:

https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=120#:~:text=IMPORTANT: currently,that as well.

"IMPORTANT: currently OPL Manager (OPLM) only supports the old method to edit and organize your ELFs inside the APPS folder (but not the new method) -- we may later provide support for that as well."

IMO it would make OPLM more "complete".
The file-splitting itself is pure standard. The only thing which needs a bit attention would be the list-file itself.

There is also currently no ZSO-Splitfiles-support in OPL, although that's very easy to add!

IMO, a secondary list-file (zul?) should be used for ZSO-Split-files, although I think we don't need ZSO Split-file support AT ALL, because ExFAT and ZSO almost come with the same builds.
Well... It would be useful for those who use FAT32 and old loaders as well as OPL with ZSO.

I'm not sure if it's still relevant tho, since now there is exFat support, and so the 4gb file limit is no longer a problem?
It would still be useful for those who use FAT32 or want to use old game-loaders.

ExFAT is currently only available in OPL! I suppose there is a multitude of people who would still want to use FAT32!

Yes, "method 2" is a new way of listing apps. Take a look at "title.cfg generator" (I think that's the name.).

It's easy stuff and the idea is a bit in its infancy. More is possible!
More info could be added to the "per app configuration-files" (title.cfg) and so on, or different language info-files, etc.

I wanted to add it too. But i can't really find any specification about the format and unfortunately my time for this project has been almost none..
Well... I'll ask on the PS2-Scene-Discord about the ul.cfg specifics.

The splitfiles themselves are really just that, like Windows and Linux do and can split them.

If you can get me that info would be great.
OPLM already can read the ul.cfg file, but there's some bytes that i just ignore, but i bet they are supposed to be set properly when writing the file

Maybe @nokiajavi and @ISEKO have some valuable input as well! :)

Should we collect some ideas for the 23 release?

Btw.: There is some bug related to "network drives", when you don't have some configs already.
