PS2 OPL Stuck at Loading Config

I'm reposting this with some alterations because it broke the rules, I apologize for that.

Hey guys, I'm new to the scene and I finally was able to mod my PS2 to run homebrew software. I was really excited about it because I had my PS2 really abandoned and I wanted it to breathe new life.
Anyways, I have a PS2 Slim SCPH 90010 with Matrix 1.8, which is not compatible with Free MCBoot, so looking for an alternative I decided to install Funtuna Fork 1.0.10 and to my surpise it worked just fine. So naturally it was time to try out OPL to get some games running on it (Funtuna comes with version 1.0.0). I tried to run Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain! using an ISO from a US copy of the game. I ripped it because it was more than 4.3GB and defragged it because it was giving me the ''error, the game is fragmented'' screen. So, when I try to load the game. OPL freezes at the ''loading config'' screen. I tried everything I found on here and it did not work. Is it the game? My USB Stick maybe? I really don't know i hope that you guys can help me.

Disable Debug Colors - Off in settings and write on which color you are getting stuck.

Also try different USB device.

Thanks for the reply!

I haven't tried a different USB because I don't have access to one at the moment, but besides that, when my OPL gets stuck, it does not do it on a color screen, I select the game, I press X to run it, the screen shows the ''loading config...'' text and it just gets stuck there for some reason, no color screen. At first I thought it was just a slow process but after letting it ''load'' for like 20 minutes I just assumed it got stuck. I tried with a different game (Crash Bandicoot 4: Wrath of Cortex, a really small game so I didn't have to rip it or defrag it) and I have the same problem. I'm really out of ideas.

It could also be a CFG corruption issue?

Check into OPL/CFG folder, if you have any file into it, move them to another folder. Make sure to try a game that doesn't have any CFG file.
Most probably this is not the problem, but it costs nothing to try.
