I bought a CECHL Silk Silver. I had a dead RSX CECHH Frankie, so I took out its parts and tried to install them into the CECHL. Although they are very similar but they don't actually fit. like heatsinks...the heatsinks on the CECHH RSX side can be installed on to CECHL frame, but the Cell side require drilling a hole before installation, which I did as you can see and heatsink comparison.Tests have shown that doing this reduced the temperature by 2-3 degrees.
I maintenance it, Delid Cell and RSX and glue the IHS back.(Example,Not this console.)
Replacing the NECTokin with Felix Tantalizer,add Cell Bracers and adding heatsink to the RSX VRM side.
Since I frequently tinker with it, I make a plug to connetc Syscon allowing me easily access Syscon without disassembly it.
With Nascar help, I overclocked Cell to 4.2GHz, but the overclock this 65nm RSX was extremely poor. Once I entered wrong VID set the RSX voltage to 1.47v, but it still couldn't stabilize at 750MHz.
