PS3 PES 2018 Modding / Need help with specific files

Hey guys, the PSX Place site has a lot of great info and has helped me a lot. Now I want to ask a big community for help, any approach is helpful for me.

I play very often with my friends on my CFW PS3 Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 (PES 2018) and I'm really glad that there are people who not only mod the PC version, but also the PS3 version.

There are a couple of patches (mostly South American and Indian I think) that have done very well.
- Potato Patch (Free)
- VR Patch (Free)
- Gembox patch (paid)
- maybe even more?

Pes 2018 is patched with installable .pkg files. I know where these files are stored on the PS3. Everything okay.
These files are called, for example, dt80_100E_ps3.cpk. Now I know how to decrypt these files under Windows. I found two pages about this, see here:

I wanted to link two pages here, but I don't have the authorization according to the PSX Scene at the moment

So now I can view the content of the .cpk file, copy it, etc.
Now to the problem: There are many files in there that I can't open because I don't know what program I'm using. Among other things, there are many .bin (in this case no DVD images but probably more graphics or similar), .dds, .bin.bak, .mtl, .model, .awb, .acb .

Maybe there is someone here who has already modded a game themselves or some people who at least know how to open these special PES / PS3 files.

Oh, if the question arises what I'm actually up to: I use the VR patch, it's very clean and looks original (the potato patch does a lot of self-promotion in the game so that you can immediately see that the game is no longer original). But what bothers me about the VR patch is the new music in the menu. It's much too loud, the actual game then much too quiet. I would have muted the music and then copied it back. The second point is that many stadiums were added later, unfortunately not my club's. I would try to patch all of that for myself. But first I need to know how to open the files.

I am thankful for any help.

Hello. Really no one knows anything about this? Any tips on how I can reasonably open these files on Windows or Linux?
Any idea is welcome.

I've been doing PES modding for long time don't try to search more ,you will not be able to decrypt "encrypted cpk" as encryption differs from patch to patch cause each creator have his own encryption the only one who can decrypt any cpk the the one who create the tool of cpk encryption/decryption, its is a protection step done by creators cause they know either people will steal the work change backgrounds and names in dds to claim patch as there own,if you want to fix the music problem get any cpk that have the music then open the dplist.bin and tick the new added cpk so the new cpk is loaded, when game boots the files in new cpk "aka music files" will overwrite the one that are in old/original patch file having no loud music loaded :)

@Louay
First of all thank you for answering me. You say the .cpk is encrypted. But I was able to open it under Windows with a batch program (instructions from Youtube) and look at and copy every file in it.
If you have already modded PES, can you tell me what programs I can use to open all these files? I have Windows, Linux and Mac OS available.
Somehow I also feel like creating my own patch. ;)But also here, how do I do that with which programs. I hope you can help me with instructions or a link to a website. Thanks very much

@Louay Can you point me to some websites that explain how to make your own PES 2018 patch? Or which programs are required for this? I've googled everything but can't find anything for PS3, only for PC.

edit: Okay, I think I'm one step further. The main program for PES 2018 modding is most likely DinoTem Editor V18. With it you can edit all these .bin files (not tested yet). Maybe @Louay can comment on that. I would also like to add a stadium to PES 2018 for the PS3, which was only available in PES 2020 and PES 2021 (PS4 version). The Veltins Arena from the German club FC Schalke 04, maybe there are also tips on how this can be realized. The Allianz Arena from FC Bayern Munich is also included in the VR patch for PES 2018, which is actually not included in PES 2018.

edit:2 OK. It is definitely the DinoEditor 2018 program. I was even able to use my unzipped .cpk file to open the database in DinoEditor. Only now I need help on how to do all this, i.e. the editing up to the save and play back. As I said, any help is welcome

edit3:But apparently I can only change the databases with the program. You can't edit graphics with it (like a new stadium or the look of the IN Game menu), right?

What the name of the program.. bro??

- Patch Gembox (pago)
- talvez até mais?

Pes 2018 foi corrigido com arquivos .pkg instaláveis. Eu sei onde esses arquivos estão armazenados no PS3. Tudo certo.

Agora posso visualizar o conteúdo do arquivo .cpk, copiá-lo, etc.

I was interested in your research related to opening encrypted cpk, could you give us the names of the programs? I wanted to put a score on VRPATCH BLES, can you help?

Broo.. do you know about editing PES console..i think we can exchange knowledge..send me your contact

There are already a lot of people modding and creating save data for PES 2018 .
My suggestion is to try editing 2017, or at least create a save data, nobody released anything lately for 2017 and it's a shame, some people prefer 2017 .

If about save data we can make database from optional file PES 17 to ps3..i make my database PS3 from optional file PES 17 For example i convert save data from t99
