PS3 PKG Error Hen

I have a super slim ps3 using hen 4.89, anytime I enable hen it does this… also I can't install any pkg files within hybrid firmware tools or my own. Won't even recognize my usb. How did you install HEN?

Did you use an official install method?

USB sticks should be formatted FAT32 MBR (not GPT).

exFAT/NTFS are only recognized by certain homebrews like IRISMAN, ManaGunZ or prepISO.

So I got everything working technically, but anytime I enable Hen it does the thing in the video but after that everything works fine.

Yes I used the official method…

From my experience so far everything seems to work normally just every time I enable HEN I have to "install" the latest hen package then once it fails I can hit cancel then continue with whatever

hen is trying to install inself from a pkg left on the root of the hard drive. you can fix it by deleting the pkg with a file manager of ftp. it will be named like "Latest_HEN_Installer.pkg" or similar.

if you have the latest HEN version, you can disable the auto-update check by creating a blank file here:
/dev_hdd0/hen_updater.off

just copy a blank file there and then you won't get that message pop-up when you start HEN

it can't be fixed, the **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) domain was taken over, so there's no way to contact the original update server.

Hello I am having trouble installing hen 4.90. During the parte when the latest hen installer signed.pkg is downloading suddenly the stops and the ps3 freezes. Its happen mutliple times now. Can you please help me?

If you have an old version of webMAN MOD installed, you only have to put a blank boot_plugins.txt on the root of an USB drive and install HEN again.

Once you have HEN installed, you should update to webMAN MOD 1.47.44 using the online updater or from:
https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases

I dont have and jave never jad any webman installed on my ps3. The problem is that when the download of the pkg file is happening suddenly the download either freezes or starts going very slow which basically means its about to freeze anyway. What is going on and how can I fix it please?

update webman before you install hen. that will prevent the freezes.

if you already updated, old webman will cause freeze when hen is enabled.

Ok I understand but since I dont have webman that doesnt apply. Anyway Im still trying to installe hen but it freezes mid download

Ok so I managed to install hen 4.90 on my ps3 but the weird thing is I dont know how I did it. Here is what happened:
- I went to the site you told me https://ps3addict.github.io/autohen and a P3T file downloaded
- Nothing else happeneds o I went back to ps3xploit.me to try and download the hen installer pkg file the normal way
- It didnt work so I pressed the reset button that is on the hen installer page and then all of I sudden the pkg downloaded and installed I now I have hen 4.90.

So my question is what did I do ¿¿??
