PKG Linker 2.0 - Serve Packages to your PS3 (HAN/CFW)

PS3 PKG Linker 2.0 - Serve Packages to your PS3 (HAN/CFW) v2.0

Yes. Rebug 4.82.2 has support for han toolbox built in.

Also you could just ftp your pkgs to the packages folder on internal hdd. People have been working without pkg linker for years on cfw. Its not really needed on cfw.
Okay. I know I can FTP my packages, but I don't have enough space left on my hdd, it's easier and better to have the packages served on my computer.
At the moment I'm using ps3 net server and mounting net0/pkg as BD, but it's very slow. I just want to compare it to this.

Would be nice if "HAN Offline Enable Debug Packages" and reboot options were added into the server setup on the console side menu, no need to jump between different menus then.
I only use this to install my own game backup collection backups into my super slim without signing.. (debug).
And test a lot, as I'm updating the list on psdevwiki ..

and..
PC PKG LINKER software crashes if you try to update the package list while it is transfering data to PS3 (and then you can not re-open it until the transfer is finished) .. I saw someone mentioning this on a earlier post aswell, tho the person didn't realize what causes it..

Where does PKG LINKER store the PKG's it downloads into PS3 ?

I keep on getting 80029564 error on 14% progress when trying to install Package_List.pkg generated by PKGLinker (tried both version 1 and 2)

I do have PKGLinker server up and running, but anyway it's not related to the fact that i'm unable to install Package_List.pkg. Once it's generated, it should install flawlessly, doesn't it? Do I have to do some magic passes like resigning it or not?

Im not sure why you are having issues with the package_list.pkg, it should install no problem. PKG Linker will resign it for HAN if you have it set to HAN in the settings.

One thing you could try is, set it to CFW (not HAN) in PKG Linker settings, then on PS3 use debug pkg enabler to install it, don't enable HAN. Not sure if that would work in your case as you should not be having the problem to start with, it sounds like your package_list.pkg is corrupt tbh.

Hmm.. What is the difference with the Create list for HAN/Debug option? You have to enable HAN to install "Package_List.pkg",or DEBUG packages for the latter one ?
I always created the lists for HAN, enabled HAN to install the package_list.pkg, rebooted and then used debug packages on console, to install
my game backups, and it worked. (installing always worked, if the game doesn't work, then it's
not CFW2OFW compatible in general..)

Good question I don't think we've gone over before. That's pretty much it. Debug pkg's are just unsigned and the way we make the pkg's they start as debug. If you use the han option it just signs the debug pkg with the han resigner after making the debug pkg. With the small size of the list pkg you don't see much difference in the time it takes. If you're using debug for everything else you can save a reboot and use the debug list it should work the same.

Something is defiantly wrong with that pkg. It looks like the resigner is crashing because the pkg isn't encrypted. I also found this at the end of the pkg.
"[main] ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign 6640 cygwin_exception::open_stackdumpfile: Dumping stack trace to ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign.exe.stackdump."

That doesn't explain why you can't use the debug options in pkg linker and han because that pkg wouldn't use the resigner.

I really appreciate your help, problem solved.
I had virtualbox windows10 running inside MacOS.
I had shared folder setup which was mounted as local drive in Win10.
For some reason, ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign hates that and throws that exception.
After moving entire folder into Win10's local disk, it works fine and Package_List is installed easily

Awesome glad it's working!! Here is a port of pkg linker v1 for mac but it's a little late now

The package linker doesn't show my signed packages (unless they're PS3 games) but it does show my unsigned ones. This isn't a signing problem because all of the packages that don't appear in the linker do install correctly on my PS3. Also the first version of the package linker did show these packages (but I had other problems with it).

I saw earlier in this thread that you guys changed what the linker identifies as a bad packages and doesn't show the. If this is why they don't appear is there a way to change it?

Apart from these packages not appearing the linker works great, so thanks a lot for it!
