PKG Linker 2.0 - Serve Packages to your PS3 (HAN/CFW)

PS3 PKG Linker 2.0 - Serve Packages to your PS3 (HAN/CFW) v2.0

you can modify your category_game.xml. how to do it is right here.
http://www.psx-place.com/threads/ea...-via-webserver-on-pc.16605/page-2#post-104646
Actually, that edit to category_game.xml will not work for PKG Linker 2.0 on any CFW. That only includes usb paths, where as PKG Linker 2.0 installed the xml to hdd. so basically you actually need to add this to the top of your category_game.xml if you want all of HAN Toolbox to show up.

Code:
<Query
 class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
 key="han_toolbox_xmb"
 src="xmb://localhost/dev_hdd0/game/HANTOOLBX/USRDIR/han_toolbox_xmb.xml#han_toolbox_xmb_main"
 />

eg:
Code:
<Query
 class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
 key="seg_package_files"
 src="#seg_package_files"
 />
 <Query
 class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
 key="han_toolbox_xmb"
 src="xmb://localhost/dev_hdd0/game/HANTOOLBX/USRDIR/han_toolbox_xmb.xml#han_toolbox_xmb_main"
 />
 />
 <Query
 class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
 key="seg_gameexit"
 src="sel://localhost/ingame?path=category_game.xml#seg_gameexit&type=game"
 />

if you just want to add PKG linker 2.0 entry then add this to the package manager section instead:
Code:
<Query class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap" key="pkg_folder_old" attr="pkg_folder_old" src="xmb://localhost/dev_hdd0/game/PKGLINKER/USRDIR/package_link.xml#package_link_game"/>

@DeViL303

Im on 4.83 ferrox. And i edited the category xml just like your post. And there arent any problem.

In fact edited one from rebug 4.82 among other files like custom coldboot gameboot and sound etc. And when i need to downgrade/update i just ftp em

But like i said the category game was one from rebug 4.82.2 , and i can connect just fine with pkg 2.0.

EDIT: isee what you mean, way better

I'm trying to install package_list on OFW 4.82 HAN, but I'm getting 80029564
I'm confused.. do I need to resign package_list before installing on OFW 4.82 ?
HAN is ENABLED by the way

Can i use PKG Linker on Rebug cfw without HAN?
Because on every tutorial and video i watch about pkg linker everyone is using HAN.

suddenly the error 80029567 came up, i dont know why....

this works on ferrox 4.83 right? cuz i was on rebug 4.82.2 and everything was fine i didnt use toolbox i modified the category_game.xml like devil303 pointed some post above.

EDIT: tried to install latest HAN toolbox on -ferrox 4.83 and it wont install. sends error 80029564

seems like im going back to Rebug 4.82.2 :D

Windows Defender is not letting me download it so does it mean it has virus?

I updated my PS3 to cobra ferrox 4.83 cfw......then I tried to download the PKG linker on it......the package list PKG isn't being installed.....error 80029564

You may need to change the type of pkg it's outputting under the settings tab. I'm not sure if you'll need to change anything in ferrox to get it working.

Whenever I press the /app_home/PS3_GAME/
It says
An error occurred during the start operation!!!!!!
Plz help me

Where is the settings tab? Plz help
The settings tab is the second tab in PKG Linker 2.0, try set it to "Create pkg list for CFW" in there instead of HAN.

That is normal, don't bother with app home, its not really used.

Note: I don't think Ferrox 4.83 will have support for PKG Linker built in, as its not really required on CFW, it is possible to add support, but if your not used to editing your XMB xmls its a little tricky. You can just FTP packages to dev_hdd0/packages for the same effect.

I want to use PKG linker because it directly installs the PKG in the PS3 whereas when I FTP the pkg and when I try to install it.....it stops at 15% and shows an error occurred during download operation....
Does rebug support PKG linker?
If so how do I update from ferrox 4.83 to rebug
Edit: I updated to rebug and downloaded the Han toolbox
I connected the PS3 to the PKG linker and my ping was a success....but when I try to install pkg's it shows error 80710092....have I done something wrong?
I checked the category XML file
.....it already had the code you advised to put.

Well if the package will not install from dev_hdd0/packages then PKG Linker will not help you. PKG linker does the same thing, it "downloads" (copies) the pkg from your pc to dev_hdd0, then installs it. If it wont install it means there is a problem with the pkg.

Check the help tab for more info on that error, that error basically means no connection to your PC at all, so it can be anything, for example if your PC was not switched on you would get that error, if it wasn't connected to your LAN you would get that error, etc etc. can literally be anything.

Hi all,
Here is a modification of HAN ToolBox 0.6 Super Lite with only Only PKG Linker Server Setup.
Tested on CFW REBUG 4.82 and Working.
Install it as normal PKG.
Don't mess to install Package_List.pkg (made with PKG LINKER "Rescan")
PS: Remove previous HAN ToolBox folder with Multiman Explorer in your PS3.
path: /dev_hdd0/game/HANTOOLBX

using PKG Linker on a Super Slim 4.82 Han. I'm doing this process with no internet on my computer or PS3, so a direct LAN connection with no internet sharing.

I can get everything to connect properly it seems, I ping the PS3, put the package list on the PS3, restart. When I go to download the PKGs it tells me I have to download a new feature. When I went further into HAN Tools and got the server list, I could download all the PKGs from there, but it refuses to download onto the PS3 itself. It will only download the files onto an external storage media device connected to the PS3. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong exactly.

So obviously my pc is connecting to my PS3 if I can download the PKGs, but why can I only download to a USB connected to my PS3?
