Hi Peeps
I have set this up and made my Package_List.pkg.
Once I have installed on my (CFW EVILNAT 4.89 COBRA 8.3) PS3, after a re-boot I do-not get a new "packages" option within my Packages section.
The programs server is working fine, and it pings the PS3 also fine, but I have no extra menu's :(

Please help

Hey, Can you enable dev_blind if its not enabled already. And copy this attached category_game.xml file to dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/ . You can use FTP or any file manager to copy the xml over.

You only need to do this once. It should work then until you reinstall or update CFW.

EDT: File removed, see better version a few posts down.

Hi mate, this is really kind of you to help me out and send the file.
I'm guessing dev_blind is in mMan?

Yes, it can be enabled in mMAN, or wMM, it's just a way to enable write access to dev_flash really. Just put that file onto dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/category_game.xml and reboot.

That's done and worked :) Thank you!

My only issue now is that none of the pkg files is showing even after a re-boot and refresh in PKH Linker V2.0

Can you put your package_list.pkg into a zip and attach it here, I will take a look

Done that mate.
When I select refresh package list on PS3, it says I need to download software, then it fails
Just make sure the server is running on the right IP. If you have multiple network adaptors it can sometimes pick up the wrong one. It might help to disable any other adaptors like wifi or VPN before starting up PKG linker, this way it will have more chance of finding correct ethernet adaptor.

This category_game.xml will work better too.

Can't thank you enough for your help and the files.
Every time I add PKG files to the folder on my PC. do I have to make a new list and copy to USB, or can the program on the PS3 do it??

I will continue to play tomorrow

Once you have it working, from then on it can download and update the list from the XMB, from the PS3 from the "Refresh Package List" icon, but the very first time you set it up you must use USB, also if you change the IP or anything like that you will need to install it once from USB again.

So until you get it working you need to use USB every time.

That second file you sent looks better on the UI
Yep, I made a mistake in the first one.

No worries, thank you.

Once it is working the first time, there is no USB required at all after that, Normally you will just add the pkgs to the folder on PC, PKG Linker will ask you to rescan, then click "Refresh Package List" on the PS3 XMB.

Perfect, thanks mate.
May I get back to you tomorrow if I have issues?
So far so good though :)

Yep do sure.

If you still have issues, double check what IP addresses your machine has by opening a CMD window and typing "ipconfig", any network adaptors will show up there and you can which IP addresses are in use.

I think I've actually got it all working now mate, many thanks for everything.

One final question if I may? is there a way you can batch (select) install using this program? example LittleBigPlanet Karting [BCES01422] has 39/40 pkg's to install.
The problem using AQ Flags/enabled is that it does not install them in order, regardless of how I name them on the USB.
