Nice. I really didn't know what ,,, meant. Thanks for helping @joe musashi , it also helped me understand better how these CSV / TSV files works.

i did every thing and it works with me but is there a way that can install ps1 and pss2 games and i downloaded a game but i cloud not find it why and joe musashi it's just a name

I wish i knew lol i honestly don´t sorry all I know is you have to make a pkgi text file and transfer it through a ftp server i don know how to do that

A new version of PKGi PS3 is ready! (almost a year between versions!! hahah)

You can get v1.2.0 here:
https://github.com/bucanero/pkgi-ps3/releases/tag/v1.2.0

Changes:
  • Internationalization support
  • Language detection based on PS3 settings
  • Spanish translation
  • Online scan for available content updates
  • Support for TLS v1.2 using newer libcurl+polarSSL

I'm open to get more translations, I know some users wanted to do localization so please get this template file and send me the translated version if you want to be included in the next release:
https://github.com/bucanero/pkgi-ps3/blob/master/translate.po

Why can't I edit sfo? After changing the name in PARAM, pgi sends me to the github page with a message about incorrect verification?

I added some security checks because I was tired to see some foolish users and youtubers repacking my work as "free stores", adding their names, changing the ICON0 and saying they were super-mad-hackers or whatever.

So that's why in this new version I added some internal checks and enforce that these 3 files can't be modified:
  • PARAM.SFO
  • ICON0.PNG
  • EBOOT.BIN

My app is still open source so anyone can still rebuild pkgi as they want. But my official release should remain unchanged as those kind of users won't be probably able to compile it anyways

:) Could you change name from PKGi PS3 to PKGi and it is obvious for me that this is the PS3 version when I have it installed a bit it looks strange to sign the name like that? Little suggestion

I'll keep it in mind for a future release.

btw I saw your Polish translation, but it needs a few fixes. Check the comments I left on GitHub. I see you solved some strings but others remain to be fixed. (original message should stay under "msgid", and translated string should go in "msgid")

Also, please take note of this:
the file format must be ASCII as the app doesn't support multi-byte text like UTF-8. So if you open the file, and use a text editor like Notepad++, be sure to select "Encoding = ANSI / ASCII", "Character set = OEM-US / Latin-US"

yep i fix it now and send to rep, and i know it's not work correctly without utf8
bucanero, could you please send me a modified Param.sfo file with the name PKGi ?

Well, if I understand correctly, PKGi will check if the sfo file is modified on boot, so using a modified param.sfo will yield the same problem. What you're probably looking for is a compiled version of PKGi with a different TITLE defined in the makefile.

I am having problems with this. I have installed the PKGi successfully from the Github page, but it gives error about .txt files. So I decided to grab an earlier version, but then I get an HTTP error. Any idea what is up with this?

you have to create the PKGi text file

Oh thank you that explains a lot. I saw a video about this on YouTube and the person never explained that little detail. So could you please be so kind as to direct me where to find the information to do so? Thanks.
