PS3 Playing ps1&ps2 PAL games on PS3 NTSC CECHAxx

Hey,
Is it possible to play ps1 & ps2 PAL games on a NTSC PS3 CECHAxx? IS there a way to play PAL PS1 &PS2 game discs on a PAL PS3 with fully bacward compability?

Yes, but you need to jailbreak console to change region.

Maybe with swap magic. I had heard it was blocked, but I don't know. You can play at least backup discs with it.

With CFW - yes
With OFW - no
I have two CECHA01 with CFW on both. Plays PS1/PS2/PS3 - NTSC/PAL game discs.
Even burned game disc, but only if you keep the original HDD. If you change HDD to SSD you loose that option to play burned disc. Only original game discs will work. An unsolved issue so far.
