Playstation 2 Master Disc Patcher for MechaPwn

PS2 Playstation 2 Master Disc Patcher for MechaPwn 1.03

Doesn't work with DVD9 games, sadly.

I have a theory that Master Disc was never possible with DVD9 games. There are strings in i.e. GT4 that suggest the devs were burning 2 different DVD-Rs and then swapping them at specific load points. This was mostly because DVD-R DL didn't exist (only DVD-ROM DL) at the time of development of GT4, but I kinda extremely doubt Sony ever supported DVD-R DL master discs in any capacity. This is kinda interesting because it makes me think we could create a patcher that allows you to burn 2 DVD-Rs of a single DVD-ROM DL game.

@alexfree Actually you can, 2nd layer is autonomous. Latest IsoBuster have got update which seeing second layer, so you can easily image only it. Maybe that will work? But swapping means need of disc sensors fooling / tray taking out by force.
If it's already master disc tho for each layer ;)
The official Sony tools also seem to allow this IIRC... maybe it just works as you say.

Also feel like I should link my last unofficial update of this patcher on the previous page: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/p...patcher-for-mechapwn.36547/page-3#post-409346 . Perhaps someone can try it out before I can.

I tested it and patched GT4 DVD9 successfully. Booted fine on PCSX2 but still need to burn it to test on my Debugging Station

Keep in mind you most likely need to separate the layer 0 and layer 1 of the disc image as discussed with either official Sony tools, or IMGBuster and then try to patch both layers, then burn each layer to a separate DVD-R (or DVD+R if you have a 50000 or newer and want to use that for some reason). This is extremely unexplored territory, I'd be surprised if layer 1 patching works as expected but maybe...
