Hey man, it's your project and you did a very nice job indeed. We are grateful for even bothering to help all that time.. i understand all this pushing for eta and releases etc. Glad you decided to talk about it. People are ungrateful most of the times. Hope you had a good journey up to that moment.

This shouls be a lesson, for many users to read carefully when everybody is telling them not to update and instead go and do whatever comes to their mind and then demanding eta and personal time of any dev.

the toolset was FREE but still got stolen! what does it matter about money?

a homebrew that run under HEN or an updated old ps3xploit flash writer would be an alternative to the toolset. a clone in a language that fewer people can read is NOT an alternative.

this "team" does not release anything or improve anything...they only change donation links and add pirate stuffs. pkgi, hen, and bgtoolset are not their work...why do they say "i am the developer of this hen"? did i say i developed the hen game audio mod? no! i said i uncommented a line of code that was already there!

they stole something from one guy who was freely sharing it with the world. as a result, he may stop sharing (this and other things) completely. everybody should be offended IMO because really we all got robbed.
 
given with bgurville's statement, I think its beyond saving at this point. Its just a vicious cycle of, someone stole stuff, the main developer is angry and the project is cancelled.

I dont think bgurville's needs donation at this point, more like respect for his work. But hey, if we can motivate him with money, great, but I really doubt that would be the case. Still, if you have spare money, go donate, regardless whatever fate the ps3xploit is going to.
 
ps3xploit and bgtoolset should have opened an account on the patreon, the Cemu emulator has an income of over 1500 dollars a month from 466 supporters, Nekotekina from RPCS3 manages to set aside 2700 dollars a month from 736 supporters
 
I understand Bguerville perfectly. It's a pity that this fantastic project is coming to a halt, all the fault of the thieves who supplant and want to take all the credit as well as all the bastards who have shared the fake Russian incomplete console-breaking tool.

emulators usually get more support, because a lot of users just want to play 'FREE GAMES' and any emulator update allows them to play more games or ROMs, so some support gets a lot in return.

The toolset is a one-shot tool that unless you're a fool you'll only use once until your PS3 dies, because once you patch and install CFW it's done. That might give the wrong impression that the bgtoolset has less value compared to another app like an emu.

Not to be rude but out of my ignorant and it was my first time installing CFW in my new ps3 slim. I sadly used the broken link now before it was broken and flashed my 4.89 ps3 and installed evilnat 4.89. it didnt break my ps3 and everything seems to be working fine . What do u think i should do ? Keep it as it is ? Or downgrading to 4.88 and flash it again ? I dont know really
