The SDK is cursed.
The Devs are open about their lack of interest in fixing/working on OPL. Take a look at the last 50 beta builds for reference.
The collaborative effort for innovative features has been selective and exclusive among different groups.
Basically, those capable of *fixing* or *enhancing* OPL have no desire to do so - and actively promote not using it all together with the suggestion of Neutrino despite its limitations.
uOPL was originally and always supposed to be a path to merging features, after extensive working of uOPL, to the Official OPL.
When this no longer became a plausible outcome, the work became pointless as it would never be embraced as a feature while developers at the same time actively work against its growth and promote any other neutrino GUI option.
In short - neutrino clearly aims to be the definitive loader over time, and all efforts seem to be shifting to that.
It doesn't matter what I think - I do not have the knowledge to contribute or develop these things.
If developers are only going to embrace neutrino, then in the long run we all should too - development is wasted when splintered and we end up with inconsistent standards or results.
The Neutrino Core option of uOPL wast incorporate this shift to Neutrino, while still providing the perks and satisfaction of the OPL interface for users. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be "praised" in the sense that others like NHDDL or Neutrino Launcher Plugin are praised.
