I kinda made my account just to say this because I wanted to comment on the original post but I'm a noob and I'm feeling impatient so mods don't kill me. while using pop-fe, for some reason all my games play as though they're in 50hz, slowdown and all. even the PS logo is lower pitched. I've tried ticking the "Force NTSC" option, and even PAL out of curiosity, with no changes whatsoever. The only thing that did work was enabling ps1_newemu, which adds an ugly bilinear filter, unfit for Castlevania. I make my own backups (for realz) so I'm 100% all my games are NTSC-U, so there's zero chance anything is wrong with my backups. They work perfectly in DuckStation, playing as they should. Playing the CD on my PS3 also yields normal gameplay. Any idea what could be going wrong or am I somehow forgetting a crucial step here...

Ok so basically I didn't realize there was a new version at the time of writing but the new version (1.26) still has slowdown if you select "Force NTSC", but runs at normal speed if you leave it unticked. so. problem solved I guess lol
