for medievil 2 you need patch 1 or 2 (i dont remember well) to pass the loading screens on every level of the game:biggrin: for missing collors im sure its patch 7:biggrin:but grafical issues are still at large making it unplayable:frown new: example character stuck in floor just like sand.
 
Can you please tell me if it is possible to use a dvd disk as a carrier for POPS? Can there be any Beta version that solves this idea? I would like to record on a dvd disc - rip-games together with POPS and ulaunchelf or preloader linking to emulators. Need a collection of PSX games for dvd. I would be very grateful for the information.
 
POPStarter supporting only internal HDD and USB.

You could try luck with PS2PSXe but I don't remember if ffgriever has added CDVD support, probably not.
 
What version of POPStarter are you using?
Did you enable options to modify & write for your shared folder:

Ah yeah, I thought since the developer retired, POPStarter_20190605.7z is the final release as of now.

4.11.6 on Samba, the corrections in that thread have been implemented, it's actually where I was posting. I can play PS1/2 games over SMB now so the network connection isn't a problem anymore, but for some reason POPStarter doesn't write folders.

Can you create VMC or save game settings (e.g. compatibility mode(s)) through SMB in OPL?
 
Yeah, unfortunately I did try adding that to no avail earlier, it didn't do anything. I then found out it is a synonym for readable = no as far as Samba is concerned.

I can, VMCs work fine for OPL PS2 games. :/ It's so strange.

What about... select desired folder to share -> proprieties -> share -> Allow others to create and delete files...:

Of course with other settings: Guest access, Share this folder...

I did attempt using nautilus's share properties to no avail on both the PS2SMB folder and the POPS sub-folder. If I make a directory in POPS named after the game, POPStarter hangs on validating the resource directory. Even if I could get it to stop hanging, it would be ideal if I didn't have to make it every time I rip my games.

Debug mode is enabled by default on SMB and it normally passes all checks unless I make the directory, causing it to hang on "Validatng..."
 
I recently corrected the Tomb Raiders, Fighting Force 2, Crash Bash Pal 1.0 the version with Cheat menu, Gran turismo 2, Spiderman 1/2, Tony Hawks 1/2/3/4, Hotwheels Turbo Racing, and others, out of all the only fix of mine added by krHACKen is Yu-Gi-Oh Forbbiden Memories in the Trojan, Some codes in Gameshark format can be found on Discord and others on elotrolado thread of the Patas everything in that forum is in Spanish.

@hugopocked Where can I follow your project to fix pop games and where can I see what codes are needed? From what I saw, you are preferring to share it on the elotrolado forum and a group on the ps2 discord, but I didn't find anything specific on the elotrolado and I don't know which discord group you share these fixes together with krHACKen. But a doubt, have you fixed only the 1.0 PAL version of Crash Bash or also fixed the 1.1 PAL? I already thank you and the krHACKen

Yes both Crash Bash Pal 1.0 / 1.1, at the moment only the Tomb Raiders 3/4/5 Spanish versions I have had some inconveniences in real life but when I can I will continue to update what I can, the corrections for the other games if they are for English versions.

My sister started a playthrough on FF9 (italian version).

I think on first 2 discs everything went fine (all perfect aside those little audio hiccups). On disc 3 he got a couple of random freezes (Ps2 completely freezed) during random battles.

Now she's at the "Earth Shrine" and the game keeps freezing at the Boss battle versus "Earth Guardian". She tried 3 time, I also tried once but it freezes every time (not always in the same point but every time when the camera is framing the boss. Maybe some particular movement of him makes the game to freeze, I don't know...).

We tried with the last POPStarter version and also with the previous stable review (from 20/10/2017). Tested it with 2 different USB devices we use for play on Ps2 (my sister just finished Casltlevania SotN on that same device without any problem using POPS).

Let me know if someone could try it for a confirmation. I also attached the VMC with the save just before entering the Earth Shrine, but I think it works only with the italian version of the game.
