PS2 Possibilities for future updates of POPSLoader.

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was any possibilities and/or plans to update POPSLoader to say, configure it to only use the profile you selected for it and have it be persistent. For context, I am using POPSLoader as a way to play PS1 games on my PS2 after many attempts to use other ways to play them without needing it, such as installing the program and games on my Hard Drive using a partition, transferring the games from my USB Drive to the HDD using both GUI programs (which in retrospect, was a bad idea considering that many people do not recommend this) and CLI programs, etc. So if there's any possibility for future updates of POPSLoader, then that will be great. If not, then that's fine by me.

Thanks for reading.

What are you talking about?

I don't understanding you. ;) Try to put some example.

Using a GUI program such as the PFS File Manger of HDL to transfer the .VCD files from a USB Drive to the __.POPS partition of the Hard Drive. It was a bad idea in retrospect considering that it would screw up the partition logic of the Hard Drive.

An example being that you turn the console off, yes? You turn it on, boot up POPSLoader, go to your preferred method of storing the games, try to load in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (so far, challenging but really good. luv the OST.) and then you see this popup…
Cant find POPSTARTER ELF
pfs://POPSLOAD/POPSLDR/PROFILES/MAIN/POPS

If there is a way to configure POPSLoader to set Profile 5, being the one where POPSLoader is on USB, as the primary profile to use and that setting stick as a config regardless if the system is on and/or off, developing persistence. Or am I an idiot when setting up that POPSLOAD partition on the Hard Drive? Either way, there you go.

PFS File Manger using ancient pfsshell as backend. Highly not recommend to use it, indeed. But today we have forked, fixed and updated pfsshell and pfsfuse. Very reliable, i.e I using it in PS2HDH.

About POPSLoader, I never use it so I dunno TBH.

Is there a means to use it considering that I have my Hard Drive in a SATA to USB adapter?

Ah, that figures. What do you use instead and is there a way I can get that set up for my PS2?
