PS2 Power button light delay

Hi, my PS2 slim 90004 runs normaly but when I turn it off and unplug it the red light from the power button take about 15 seconds to turn off. But in my 79006 the light turns off immediately, is it normal? or is it a problem?

yes, this is normal, you don't have to worry, because you disconnected the device from the socket but the source capacitors still have charge and it takes a few seconds to discharge this accumulated energy in standby mode.
