PS3 Problems with PIC1.PNG

The images(PIC1.PNG) of some PKGs are not showing up after I modify them.

This only happens with some games. Most, after I modify, appear correctly. A few don't. Does anyone have an idea what it could be? What I've already tried:

[1] Rebuild database after modification

They are always displayed if they are in the correct directory, be aware of C00 directories, the correct resolution is 1920x1080 or even less, but never more than that resolution, and finally make sure it is a legitimate PNG.

I'm not sure if actually PICs aren't reading in real time (if yes then Rebuild Database is not needed).

What game it doesn't matter. XMB treating all games the same. If not appears maybe it is not proper like not proper resolution, to big size and bit depth? I don't remember details now, because didn't touch it for many many years now.

Does games for which PIC1 isn't showing up, have any earlier and You just replace it or You've add it?

I've tried several different things and bits, nothing has changed. Those that don't appear are sometimes replaced and sometimes added.
It's strange behavior.

I noticed that another game, if I replace the original PIC1, it disappears. It only reappears if you put the original PIC1, even if the images are identical.

did you find any solution on this?

perhaps a stupid question, but wouldn't the PIC1.PNG be the same size as the original if you saved it correctly/have same dimensions? try @Berion 's suggestions. you may be saving it wrong, and the ps3 is case sensitive as well.

24/32bit PNG will not be the same because used different colors amount plus image is compressed. It doesn't matter anyway. Replacing meta data images of applications isn't hard, just user needs stick to Sony restrictions. Eventually in addition, user must do rebuild database after replacing but I'm not sure.

I see. I wasn't sure if it was compressed.
