You can. But crysis is very sensitive to overclock so it's the best game to test OC in. If it's fully stable in crysis with zero artifacts, crashing or freezing after an hour. Then you'll be stable in every other game. Crysis was the most demanding game on the planet at that point. So it stressed GPUs hard.Can use games red dead redemption or the last of us instead of crysis HD?

Crysis HD is the first crysis. That's the one you should get. You can get it from the PKGi app. It's called Crysis HD. It's just the 1st crysis. I think that an overclock does increase temperature because it'll increase current. The current increases because the overclock is forcing the transistors to turn on and off more times per second.2c on sonic could be Margin of error. Ambient temps. Or load depending on the direction you are looking and rendering. The metal gear, is a measly 2 or 3c and only cause it's pushing the 60 mark. So yes temps can go up there. But games that are capped to 30 or 60 won't increase at all. The OC doesn't increase temps, it's the frames it pushes if the gains are much higher. And again, 2 to 3 is Margin of error. Ambient temps need to remain the same. And test needs to be done identical to the last. Plus time is a factor. Longevity of the test. I've done weeks of testing. Across all my PS3s. Making sure there wasn't any errors in my testing so I can say, Overclocking does no real damage or temp increases. Higher pushed frames is a higher load. Which the stock underclocked chips didn't do. A 2c to 3c on average temp increase depending on the game that has higher framerate target wouldn't do a damn thing to the PS3s longevity. Most games on PS3 are all capped to 30. More than anything, an increase in resolution would make the temps go higher. But also higher framerates rendered puts more stress on uncapped games. Outside of bioshock, no other game can break the 60 mark. And I'm guessing that was an error on 2ks part by not capping the frames to 60.

okay If the GPU and VRAM same Megahetz then will there be any problem in Ps3?You can only know this by testing.
You should absolutely keep WebmanMod btw, if it tell you that your console is overheating, then adjust your fan settings. WebmanMod is not the issue here.
Your console is still overheating without it, you're just not alerted.

If you want for example to stick to the original ratio :
500/650 : 650÷500 = 1,3.
So for example, for 900MHz core : 900x1,3 = 1170. So, if we want to keep this ratio, 900/1175 would be good.
BUT seriously, 1175MHz VRAM is impossible for 99% of our consoles ^^' Even 1000MHz is risky.
I don't think that keeping a similar ratio matter at all anyway.
Just try to have a margin between Core/VRAM, to be sure.
So 900/950, or even 900/975MHz.
Ultimately, you need to test it thoroughly and search for any eventual issues.
