PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

Do you have the rsx strings in lv1 dumps that prove that you flashed the cfw on a CECHK and CECHL?
Unfortunately not. I have the original dump.hex from the first one, the second one I just updated without backup. I tested a few games before and after.

Mello, as you are going to flash it again and on your other consoles, please provide the dumps to zecoxao, so he can confirm if it worked in those models, you can use Evilnat CFW toolbox or /dump.ps3?lv1 via webman MOD (remember to 00000 your IDPS and PSID).

The problem is, nobody, not even Mina Ralwasser, knows how to reboot lv1 without having the memory cleared. so he needs to reverse engineer the process to figure out how to do it
So as of now there is no direct method to enable / disable boost clock mode directly via the XMB.
The only way is to install the CFW mod which you prepared, in that case the boost clock is permanent and there is no way to turn it off apart from installing another CFW / OFW Fw ???

But in this case, isn't easier to set the option to reboot the console?

By the way, here is a comparison made by @TheWizWiki

hello I can't test because i have just 1 ps3.. and no hw flash...
why not try on retroarch beta 4? it has built in fps counter, and emulator is good test for my opinion

It depends how does the RSX workload look like. I think the emulators of 2D consoles are mostly CPU bound, not GPU.

I have compared to the LV1 of 4.88 and 4.84dex,
Only version description are different, others are the same ,
Can I Patch 4.84DEX LV1 and use PUAD GUI Repack PUP?

Hello guys also i was testing on CECH-21018 and it works great, however i was wondering in order to have the clocks working, its there maybe an option or just by installing the CFW will be enough? i was testing it with dead rising 2 but it seems that there is no difference on this game, best regards

@STLcardsWS
Pls add to the OP that, this mod is recommended to be done only on slims, as fat consoles already on base clock generate a lot of heat and heating has been an issue with the fats since day 1, especially the BC ones.
Therefore, it is only recommend to do it on slims as they don't have problems of heating.

USE AT YOUR RISK tags have been applied,
so I do not think that warning is really necessary,

Its a Project still be researched and a POC not advising noobs to use it.
If your advanced enough to take the risk then you should know about temp monitoring and fan control with CFW .
