PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

Search 600/750 via Hex

Eg:

rsx40 a01 600/750 vpe:ff shd:77 [AP0022017:0:1:3:e:18:2:0:1][2a:0:a:0:1:0:1][1:1:0]

If you find it, past it here, this means your RSX/MEMORY is overclocked in your console model.
CECHK rsx65 a05 600/750 vpe:ff shd:3f [AP0009981:1:1:18:a:c:2:5:1][1c:0:2:0:1:2:0][2:1:0]

CECHL rsx65 a06 600/750 vpe:ff shd:3f [J5E248000:1:2:a:c:9:3:8:2][1d:0:2:0:1:2:0][2:1:0]

It seems the cfw is stable enough to at least run on a NOR console. i wonder now on NAND consoles if it'll run ok...

Working fine, I have many friends who have installed it and without any problems.

What about the 775Mhz variant? and correct me if I'm wrong, is the memory clock for GDDR3 only right? Would be possible to the XDR memory too, or it follows the CELL clock?

I want to congratulate everyone involved in the work, this is something that the community has been waiting for in time, and with these tests we can see how much CELL is limited by RSX, how much of the potential of CELL BE cannot be used on account of RSX.

A test on gta 5 would be nice, I only have a super slim at home, but with Mods I was able to verify that the average is 25fps, with drops to 19, 20 fps and maximum while driving at something around 28, maybe with this overclock from the RSX we have already managed to keep the 30 fps more stable or something above 25 fps continuously.

as zecoxao said before, I think we should test on COK 00X models but modified with a 40nm RSX, because of the CECHA cooling system and also because it's cooler, it would be cool to test some heavy games like gta 5, gow 3 and others :)

Too bad my cechg died, otherwise I would gladly do some tests to help the community :(

Edit: @RIP-Felix would you mind testing this new tool on one of your CECHA's? if you don't mind, of course.

It hasn't been tested on all PS3 models yet, it's always recommended to have a hw flasher in case something goes wrong.
But it isn't required..i can install the pup as usually ? (If i know what i'm doing)...the question is only for understanding purposes :)

this project is in the initial phase, so errors may occur during the installation depending on the model or the console itself.
Flash backup is just in case of NOR memory related problem you have a way to recover the console.
you can install this backup without it, no problem, but if there is an error the chance of turning your console into a paperweight is huge.
it's like installing HEN, if you follow the right steps the chance of errors is almost one, but there is always a chance .

I know ;) thx i'm related to the scene since the good old days ....i really was asking for understanding.

I sit there and wait, read and wait and when it's safe to install, then i would install the result, i swear :)

This is great. I got no idea how to use it, but will wait for noob-friendly release.
Finally picture I took for fun is getting real. Please continue :D

Crongulations to everyone who participated in this project, I tested it in several games and the difference is brutal. I didn't know the PS3 had so much potential.

Amazing!

its great to see that these kind of features can be enabled in the console, lets hope that little by little the project can see a stable version of it, so far i was using it and its going great on my SLIM model CECH-21018
