PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

Unfortunatelly no, we don't have lv1 access on HEN
Luan just out of curiosity, I'm studying programming and I like to have a motivation or something, where can I get a copy of lv1 and other files like meltdr for example? should i extract the update from the .pup and the files will be generated or just with a dump of the console nor? I feel like opening these codes and messing with them just out of curiosity, I don't even know the commands right yet to test anything anyway:rolleyes:

this was the readout from the 600/750 RSX:

rsx40 a01 600/750 vpe:ff shd:3f [AP0023203:0:1:d:17:1a:2:0:1][26:0:a:0:1:0:1][1:1:0]
rsx40 a01 500/650 vpe:ff shd:3f [AP0023203:0:1:d:17:1a:2:0:1][26:0:a:0:1:0:1][1:1:0]

i assume that the 500/650 is mentioned when the first instanc of it reads the string "600/750" and ignores the request to re-initialise the default RSX setting of "500/650" when acl checks fail for whatever reason...

Example : ACL >> CHK_RSX = (600/750) >>= INVALID_ACL , ACL_RESET_RSX , ACL_IGNORE_ERROR , ACL_RSX_SET=(600/750) , RSX_DEFAULT=(500/650)>>ACL_RSX_SET=(600/750)?

Not sure if it's the overclock (nor would I revert because of this) but can anyone else confirm if Fairytale Fights is broken for them? The disc when I tried loading it got an 800 error and when I dumped a successful iso I got the same thing... Grabbed the update for the game and now it just hangs at a blank screen.

If you're using webMAN MOD, try updating using the online updater and reboot (a recent build had black screen issues). Also try with another backup manager like multiMAN, IRISMAN or ManaGunZ to discard any issue with the backup manager.

@zecoxao , @Evilnat , I'm Sure You'll have figured out that the cech-2501a can also have the 8th SPE enabled but it depends on whether it works for your revision... (CFW PS3s can have it done for the most part and i hope soon it will come to xai_plugin...)
enabling the 8th SPE along with the RSX OC, should make framerates a little better , which depends on if a game or app can be made to take advantage of it...

That wasn't it unfortunately, can anyone else test Fairytale Fights?

That quote had a context, it doesn't apply arbitrarily to just anything you wish.

In our context, afaik nobody would be able to use the 8th SPU with GameOS as this would require more than just unlocking it.

Moreover, everyone should keep in mind that they had their reasons for locking one of the 8 SPUs in the first place, they didn't do that just for fun or to spite users.
Even if we could make the 8th SPU work in GameOS, we aren't even 100% sure at this point that such a setup would work fine on every single PS3 console out there.
