PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

pretty much. if you've never built an oc firmware, select the 4.xx cex tarballs box, uncheck both rebuilder boxes (not doing so could cause a brick), select the rsx oc box, select what you want from the drop down box on the top right, then build. that's pretty much it.
I got my end to work finally after 20 or so tries. I had the oc version, then dpex I was trying to oc and that may have been issue. Idk for sure. I downloaded the pex version, reinstalled mfw, and redid key updates and it punched through finally. All in all in order to do a mfw, one might need a cex, dex, pex, ect version only, not premodded/subversions (d-pex/OC for example). This is my case so far anyway.

Well, the hex will be different if you're using an already oc pup.

Right now, I don't want to divulge my name on discord. I'm about to join a club soon, so I may drop the Internet soon. I don't have most of these systems, and I can't test on hardware, but I'm trying to help as much as I can.

Okay in the MFWBuilder you sent me theyre no way to go to the 900/975 MHZ Clock, in my other MFWBuilder there are the Option for 25Mhz steps for the builder

No. Not every 2501A can do 750/950 stable. All of them can do 700/900 though. 750/950 stable would be a great bin. Which I have one that does it stable on all games and prolonged gameplay.

Only 2 guys here have 800/1000. According to them it's stable but it's the slims manufactured in 2011. So their PS3s are rare. I've tried looking for them online and I find none of them. It's like they don't exist.
Based on what I've read in this thread and my own experience I would say the min stable freq for a 25xx should be 650/850. Anything above 700/900 is good.

25xx
Bad Bin: 650/850
Average Bin: 700/900
Good Bin: 750+/950+
Mine is a JSD-001.

A CXD5300A1GB in a "1A" 25XX ?
Well, dates aren't as significant as I thought apparently.
Try 700/900. Then if it's fully stable, try 750MHz.
I wouldn't try 1000MHz on memory with this RSX, especially without hardware flasher. 975MHz at best.
CXD5300A1GB in my Dec 2010.

I plan to progressively build a "collection" of 4.92 PEX OC firmwares in my spare time.
If someone wants me to add a specific combination of frequencies, DM me.
Done

If you need one i can make you one contact me in discord if you want my name : delixdex
Thank you to you too for the offer but @Mitsu™ already took care of it.

I'm slowly uploading modified firmwares with the "essential" frequency combinations (the most frequently used/requested).

Here is the Evilnat 4.92 PEX OC collection :

It's been said a million times, but use them at your own risk ! You're the only one responsible if you turn your console into a brick by installing frequencies that are too high for your RSX.
Having a hardware flasher (E3 Flasher, etc.) on hand is recommended.

Hello folks! Really new to OC, and just got a 2504B recently. Haven't been opened in my hands íet, but plan to give her a backplate pressure mod (3d printed with ripfelix's stl files) and an rsx delid later. Can I install this evilnat CFW 4.92 OC version safely, with fan speed on 30% (webman)? thx

edit: warranty sticker seems to be okay (little torn on one corner), so i reckon' it's been opened by someone who knows how to remove these stickers.

nah, og with the slim.
But rsx delid and pressure mod really helps with temps.
My C04 for example runs ~32% and temps are maxxed at 68C°.
