Are we capable of implementing the old logos from their bios dumps?
You can even get into PS1 BIOS if you unmount a game during the Sony Computer Entertainment logo with replaced BIOS. Full access to BIOS, including the memory card utility and CD player.

Either SCPH1001.BIN or SCPH5502.BIN would work. It just has to be a BIOS that actually contains the Sony Computer Entertainment logo, and you will have to unmount before the PlayStation logo boot screen appears.Does it need a specific BIOS or ps1emu?
I tried with ps1_emu and ps1_netemu. Mapping ps1_rom.bin to ps1_bios.bin (PSP), SCPH1001.BIN and SCPH5502.BIN

When I did this, I unmounted from my phone using the web command and it worked fine. You just have to time it earlier rather than later.

Unmount after the orange logo finishes drawing and the SCE blue letters appear, worked first try with 1001. The memory card browser seems to be completely functional, however mounting the game again and try to use the CD player to play the cdda audio crashes the entire ps3Thank you for your reply. I must be doing something wrong.
I'm still unable to reach the BIOS utilities unmounting the game before the logo, during the logo and after the logo;
If I unmount the game too early I receive an error and returns to XMB.
If I unmount just before the boot screen logo or during the logo, I get a black screen. It continues if I mount the game again.
Hmm, didn't end up actually testing this out. Did you try with both ps1_emu and ps1_netemu?however mounting the game again and try to use the CD player to play the cdda audio crashes the entire ps3
This won't work as there is not enough space in ps2_netemu to add a full PS2 BIOS to do this. However, gxemu allows for external BIOS loading, but this has never been tested afaik.I wonder if we could enter the ps2_bios menu with similar trick? It would open many possibilities...

Thank you. I managed to access the bios utilities. Like you said, only the memory manager is functioning. The CD player freeze the console when I select a track to play.Unmount after the orange logo finishes drawing and the SCE blue letters appear, worked first try with 1001. It's on webman settings next to scan for ps1 isosDon't know if it's just for me but I have no option of choosing the emu u want to use at all the section. Is cut off , if it's been answered before my apologies , I only use rips of my own content .
You can patch the psx bios to display the full animation, i don't think it's possible for PS2, the ps2 logo that is displayed is part of the game itself, it's included in all games
Is there any tutorial on this? I would like to get the PS1 animation on game bootup!
it will have to be dev_blind, because dev_flash has no write privileges.On dev_flash/ps1emu (or dev_blind if you use MultiMan), replace the default ps1_rom.bin with a retail BIOS one (and rename it back to ps1_rom.bin exactly). You should now have the full boot sequence next time you load a disc/iso. Also don't forget to backup the default ps1_rom.bin just in case it doesn't work or you want to revert back to normal.
I used my SCPH-7502.BIN rom and it works perfectly fine.
