PS2 70k slim no power

So I was cleaning my PS2 and found out I can't get any power, I first thought it was the power button since the top of the button was broken but after I put the replacement part there still isn't any power, I checked with my multimeter between the power adapter and the button and I get values, but no beeps in continunity even though I can clearly see there are some numbers

you will never get direct continuity from the power jack to the button on the front, there is no direct connection between the 2, but there are a lot of active circuits sitting in the middle.

1st thing to check is does your power brick actually work? Do you get 12VDC out of it when tested on the meter? Or does your console work with a different brick or vice versa?

My power brick does work it's definitely after I cleaned my console that I might have fucked up something
