every time i try to load resident evil 4 by ps2 classics holder,i got an error saying (the saved data is corrupted (0x80028f24), i tried deleting the SAVEDDATA folder from the classics holder folder, replacing it with an internal memory card, and i still have the same error.

Hi there. I having a problem with saving game on Devil May Cry3. I get a return msg .. data is corrupted. I see this post here about PS2 classics and encrypted memory cards. The card I have is not a Sony original but it does work for other games. Is it possible this is the reason for DMC not saving. I really want to play this game. I get as far as Agni and Rudna without saving.

I am playing with PS2 and Modbo v1.98

ps2 memory cards themselves are not encrypted. ps2 classics' are though. if you're using a ps2 memory card on the ps3, it should be fine. unfortunately, the save may just be corrupted. if it makes you feel any better, my ff1 save on the psp got corrupted somehow over last weekend. I don't know how, but I also took the save from my pstv, and it was still corrupted. in this case, I don't know if it's a bug with Ark or not, because I haven't messed with my psp beyond updating Ark for a very long time. I recently bought one of those memory card adapters for my superslim for use with ps1 memory cards. all cards worked fine except for this one by madcatz. it wouldn't read it at all. it could be third-party garbage or something? it's been like twenty-five years since I've messed with it, but I know playstation memory cards are supposed to last, so it's probably just a cheap card. maybe you're encountering something similar. I have no idea what's going on with the card.

it is a virtual one, creating a new one from the memory card section in the XMB seems to never work, reinstalling the classics holder never works too,i am using habib classic holder, could that be the problem?
