PS2 PS2 FAT 50004 original laser.

I bought a PS2 fat 50004 model (H chassis 3.00 DVD version). I'm plannig to restore it and now the question. What laser was factory-installed there? When I opened it, there it was khs-400c. Is this factory one? And second question. The DVD drive is making "grinding sounds". I belive there is something wrong with the worm motor. Maybe it's the little plastic arm that's attached to it. Any ideas?

I've a phat SCPH-50004 in Aqua Blue color which has a original HD-7 laser. But I'm not sure if all SCPH-50004 has a HD-7 as original one.

I have an Aqua Blue 50004 as well and mine has the original laser it came with - a KHS-400C. However, another 50004 I own, silver, came with HD7 too. Both are H chassis.
