Hello guys! I recently tried to extend my ps3's memory by connecting an external hard drive to it. It worked for ps3 and for ps1. It doesn't work for ps2 though. I know that ps2 runs only frome the internal drive, but from what I have seen the games should at least be visible in webman after the prepntfs. In my case though the ps2iso files is like they don't exist. I am using a jailbroken ps3 with cobra. Thanks in advance.

As you said, PS2 images (ISO/ENC) only work from the internal hard drive.

Unlike most backup managers for PS3, webMAN MOD allows to list the external games and they will be copied first to the internal HDD when the game is mounted. This copy may take one minute or more, depending the size the game. Once the game is copied, the file is kept as "cache" in the internal HDD until the ISO is deleted or if "Unmount + Delete net/ntfs cached ISO" is checked.

To prevent listing duplicated games, webMAN MOD checks if the file in the external drive already exists in the internal HDD during the scanning for content. This could be the reason why you're not seeing the games on NTFS.

Another possible cause could be an improper name of the folder "PS2ISO" or the file extension (.iso or .ISO)

Is it possible now with the new FW update to run PS2 games from an external HDD formatted to NTFS or are we still stuck on loading them from internal? Thank, sorry ressing a zombie thread.

I don't think playing PS2 ISO files from external HDD will ever be possible. Since the console soft reboots to a state like it is a PS2 to emulate the games.

Also PS3 official meaningful support is gone for ages now, and this limitation will remain.
