PS2 PS2 not reading memory Card after Copying Files from it.

Hello, so i was trying to install FreeMcBoot to a new 8MB Memory Card.
I already have a pre-installed FMCB Card from Aliexpress and it just gives me a black screen after the splash screen. after troubleshooting for several hours i wanted to reinstall (or make a second fmcb) on my memory card that i had laying around. so i copied another version of FreeMcBoot onto a USB-Drive, launched uLaunchELF (by holding R1 on the boot screen) and then i wanted to copy all the save files from the memory card to my usb drive. So after i did that, i rebooted my PS2 and all the sudden the memory card is not readable anymore. In uLaunchELF and the Browser it does not pop up anymore.
Is there any Fix to this ?

Try dumping the card with MCA use it in pcsx2 as a .ps2 save then convert it to a folder save, this is the only way I know of to read corrupted cards contents that have a damaged superblock & ECC.

Black screen after splash is often fault of modchip conflict in v1.9xx.

You shouldn't copy saves as folder because you loosing timestamp which is important to few games. Saves backups should be making in PSU containers.

You cannot copy FMCB from one card and use on another. Signing executables are per card unit. This will result in ignoring system update (console will boot normally).

If card is not visible in OSDSYS (stock menu of every PS2), then it means you have wear off ports and/or card is dead (not your fault BTW).

Thanks for your reply.
the thing is, i don't even have a modchip installed. thats why i am very frustrated that nobody can help me :(
Is there a point in trying out the other FMCB versions?

and thanks for letting me know about the saves. i guess since the card is dead there is nothing to do now anyway, but i will keep that in mind for next time

There's also the possibility of oxidation on the memory card contacts. You need to open it and rub the contacts with a white eraser, and nothing else.

True. On both sides: MC pins itself and port.

C'est vrai. Des deux côtés : MC se fixe lui-même et le port.
