Ive got ps3 slim on 4.88 cfw,what is easiest way to update to 4.89 cfw without losing my cfw to get back online

or is there a 4.89 bypass to get back online without updating my 4.88 cfw, no laptop/computer so i been using ftp server on my mobile to transfer files to ps3 via multiman
 
Download this file and copy it to /dev_hdd0/ps3-updatelist.txt

If you use webMAN MOD it should let you access PSN from 4.88. At least it worked the last time that I tested it.

You need to setup the device password from the cellphone or PC. Your original password won't work.
 
Ive replaced the file u sent me updatelist.txt and activated webman mod , tried to sign in and asks for system to update
 
if you are on 4.88 cfw, then you must be using Evilnat cfw. you could use his 4.89.2 version (or 4.89.3 beta) because it is the same, just some new features.

Evilnat is the person who was making the spoofer app. he did not update it when 4.89 came out because sony changed some stuff. AFAIK he recommends NOT spoofing anymore because of those changes.

Just download Evilnat's 4.89 CFW from here:
CFW 4.89 Evilnat Cobra 8.3 (CEX) » Brewology - PS3 PSP WII XBOX - Homebrew News, Saved Games, Downloads, and More!
Put it on a USB disk (use the standard PS3\UPDATE directory structure).
Double, triple, quadruple check that it's the correct firmware and not OFW or HFW.
Then just install it as you would any other firmware update. No need for anything special to upgrade CFW to CFW.
