PS3 PS3 backwards compatible mod for non bc models?

Would it be possible to reverse engineer the entire backwards compatible PS3 onto a slim model just like the mod where we can add two more usb ports to the console? we have BadWDSD rn but is it recommended to be done on a maybe CFW compat model? all for PS2 hardware to be put to the test. what do you guys think? @aomsin2526 @esc0rtd3w

Have any sixth or 7th gen consoles even been made in schematics for FPGA or micro consoles yet? Dreamcast seems like it'd be the easiest & least demanding to clone actual hardware.

I think it's almost impossible, at most it would be to improve the emulation system that Sony created at the time (in Evilnat some improvements were made)...

It seems like it would be difficult to mod the PS3 Slim to use the EEGS and RDRAM because of the way the EE would emulate certain PS2 features, send data to the EEGS, send a video output to the RSX and to the final screen.
Unless I'm mistaken, and I very well could be, the later motherboards fundamentally don't have connections to and from the cell and RSX to support using PS2 hardware.
