PS3 PS3 Browser not supported 4.92

I've came to a standstill trying to jailbreak

Evening. I finally received my USB, downloaded 4.92 firmware (4.93 available but not sure if I could jailbreak that) onto the USB, installed then attempted to open the browser to open up ps3toolkit to save as a bookmark and it wouldn't let me, because I need to update the PS3 to 4.93 so I did the work around setting the home page to DuckDuckGo, it let me search ps3toolkit but when trying to open the link I get the error: the page cannot be displayed (80710a06)

I don't know what to do from here. Does anyone have an idea? Should I just upgrade to 4.93 but I was unsure if you can even jailbreak on that?

(Sorry if I'm not allowed to post this here, I'm new to the community and will be sticking about because I have a new interest in jailbreaking. Thanks!)

use the flash writer instead. you will need HFW 4.93 (not OFW from sony). 4.92 is not supported because nobody made the patch for it yet.

Thanks for the reply and the help. I was wondering is there a specific YouTube video or guide I can watch or read in order to do it this way? I'm new to jailbreaking and wouldn't mind learning!
 
Unfortunately I've come to a standstill again and after doing the [PS3] > [UPDATE] > PS3UPDAT.PUP folder and file and plugging in the USB into the PS3 I get "No applicable update data was found." And I've even tried running and updating in safe mode with 0 luck.

EDIT: Found the problem, I downloaded and used an older version of HFW.

EDIT2: Successfully jailbroke my PS3. Thanks for the help Coro.
