I'm not really new on ps3 modding: I had a fat ps3 and almost 2y ago I installed a CFW and everything worked like a charm. Then sold it
Recently I bought a PS3 CECH3004B ( the second version, not the fat one) and I've discovered that on this particular model you can't install a cfw but you need to use hen, instead.
Ok no problem at all, so I started it again, dowloaded HFW 4.92, updated the console, exploited HEN (ps3xploit), started installing Homebrews. Problems come initially with some psx game, no licence etc etc.
so downloaded apollo tried offline activation but nothing, instead it made things even worse: also other games started not working correctly because the licence error.
Then since the hdd was small (320 gb), I've decided to start it again, maybe I made something wrong I thought (like I didn't activated the console on PSN website): I installed a 1tb mechanic hdd (tested with hdd sentinel, and health was great)
reinstalled the 4.92 OFW,. activated the console on psn website, and after it installed 4.92 HFW.
Then cloudflare went down
psxploit was hacked 
, so I've managed to exploit it going on a mirror, tell me if can post it here, I'm not sure if it's against the forum rules,.
When I've tryed on ps3xploit it worked at first try, when I used a mirror ,I had to try lots of time and then in the end it exploided it, but was slightly different from the first exploit: when the ps3 boot up the first time I've did it, it was showing ps3HEN (in characters), the second time it was showing PS3 and the hen logo inside the egg. I'm writing all this particulars because I'm not understanding where my error is.
After Hen was Active I've tryed PKGi, configured it, dowloaded, but the licence system is not working.
Trying to fix it with apollo and psn patcher but it seems the both of em can't read the /dev_hdd0/exdata/, where the rap file are to be installed.
Really weird because I can check that every rap file is on it's right place, but I guess, system, apollo and psn patcher won't see the folder, while I can see by multiman or webman.
what I'm doing wrong? I'm going crazy
at least to understand....
