Hello

can some one help me got a problem with my old ps3 cfw.
when back in the day like 5 years ago i wanted to update to dex from cex,
but during the install the ps3 turns off and didn't go back on

atfter that never lookt back to it until now did some research and found the command of Naked_Snake1995 on a post saying: From the looks of it SEN Enabler was a pain with Ferrox, so the same behaviour maybe manifested on HEN,so it can lead to a Soft-Brick,but not all hope is lost, here is what you need to do.

*Turn off the machine completely, and remove the Storage Device "HDD", and boot the PS3 without any HDD inside, if all goes well it should display "No Storage Device Found", which you will need to format the HDD in order to get your machine working again.

1: Connect the HDD to a computer
2: Format the HDD with quick format or with any formatting software
3:Put back the HDD to the PS3, and start the system in recovery mode
4:Get a USB key with the 4.84 HFW and Re-Install HEN.

After trying looks like i got the same problem.
So now i know hot to format or hot to install a cfw for the ps3 only how to get my hdd on my pc and do al the stuff nakedsnake say in his command

yeah a message like hdd is missing
Nice, then next step is to format the hdd in PC, there are 2 ways to do it:
-Use a SATA-2-USB enclosure, put your hdd inside it, connect to PC
-Open the PC, connect the hdd to a SATA port and boot the PC with it

In both cases... the ony thing you need to do it format the hdd, with any filesystem. The filesystem you decide to use doesnt matters because the PS3 is going to overwrite it later anyway... we are just formatting it to "clean" old data that was preventing your PS3 to boot
After that connect the HDD back to your PS3, boot it, and get ready to install 4.86 OFW from USB... this should resurrect your PS3

Next step would be to use bguerville toolset (is a web service) to apply a flash patch that allows to install a CFW

Yes, is very easy, read a bit about how works the toolset, there is a step where you need to download a patch (that is going to be applyed to your flash chip) and there are 3 ways to do it, the safest option is to "download it from HTTPS"
After the patch is applyed you can reboot the PS3 to install a 4.86 CFW from USB

In a desktop PC yes, turn off the PC, connect the hdd to the latest SATA port available in your motherboard
At the next boot the PC (i guess you are using windows) is going to show a notification about "a new device has been detected, etc..."
Acept the dialogues, format it, then turn off the PC and disconnect the hdd (and return it back to the PS3)

If the PC have a disc reader/burner (for CD/DVD/BD) disconnect his cables and connect them in the PS3 hdd
