PS3 CFW stuck in [NORMAL] mode

I've messed something up and i don't know what. I wanted to check a controller I've bought cheaply at a flea market but when i connected it to my console it started acting crazy like move menu all way to the left or right, up and down, start random apps and I think it happened then. I remember seeing a program that looked similar to sen enabler but i don't know if it was it. it all happened in the span of 5-10 seconds it was connected. I disconnected it and turned off my PS3.

Now when i turn it on (it's on Evilnat 4.88) it says CFW: 4.88 [NORMAL] at the top right corner: i think it used to say something else but i don't remember what exactly. I wouldn't mind it but i can't mount any game since it says something about syscalls being disabled...

Thanks for the help

I don't use Evilnat 4.88 myself but it sounds like you disabled Cobra somehow, which is why you can't mount games.

Reinstalling the CFW should fix the issue by restoring it to its default state (i.e. Cobra), and may be easier than navigating the menu to re-enable Cobra and/or whatever else the haywire controller did when it was connected.

Thanks for the reply. I've just reinstalled the CFW but sadly nothing has changed. It still says [NORMAL] at the top and i can't mount any game and/or start any program - managunz, irisman, rebug toolbox all give me error 8001003A. It looks like syscalls (or at least syscall 8) are permanently disabled, i can enter webman settings but i cannot change CFW syscall 8 option to anything - it is locked on: Fully disabled (can't be re-enabled).
