PS3 Fat CECHC03 Disc Not showing in XMB

Good morning all, I was wondering if it was possible to find some help or advice in order to get a PS3 Fat to show the DVD movie/Blu Ray movie/Game disc in the XMB.

There doesn't appear to be a good reason for the disc not showing up in the XMB.

Current Steps taken to try and fix the issue:
  • Inspected laser diodes (they light up both blue and red)
  • Disc spins and appears to read.
  • Disc insert and ejects without issue.
  • Changed laser and ribbon cables as a precaution.
  • Have run a full format and updated OFW.
Currently running latest OFW.

Could this be a drive board re-marrying issue?

Is it possible to use PSXplit CFW and tools to re marry drive?

sometimes my fat ps3 will not see the disc unless i let it run 10 or 15 minutes after starting ps3 to warm up first. after restarting, it works everytime.

you can try CFW and remarry. if you have a PSN game installed, try to run it (or youtube, netflix, etc). if it runs without giving an error code, then your drive is married.
 
All I get is a black screen!!?

Ok sounds about right, I tried to install HEN but then realised the gigantic red writing saying do NOT put your ps3 into FSM!

So I rolled back to OFW and then tried Rebug 4.86 lite, but I cannot instal it, all I get is and error. I can't even install rebug via safe mode, the system will not recognise it. :(
