PS3 PS3 fat file system recovery completes to black screen.

Hi, so my jailbroken PS3 fat is regularly doing the file system recovery. We have lots of blackouts. Anyways, today it changed after getting to 100% the screen goes black. If I leave it long enough it reboots back to the recover file system. I've go e to the safe mode and all the options freezes on the screen 'preparing' and never reboots to even start.

Would it be possible to save my data by cloning the hard drive? Seems from what I've read there is not much other hope.

If You will clone drive, You will have another HDD with the same broken logic structure as source is.

You need to recovery data (if possible) on PC. For that You need use another HDD allowing PS3 to format it, then read EID Root Key (if You haven't) and follow by this guide: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/tutorial-hdd-mounting-and-decryption-on-linux.23308/ But if You are on HEN, not on CFW, then consider that all data You lost (because on HEN, ERK cannot be currently retrieved).

Ok, have installed my original HDD and got the erk fileneede for ps3_hdd_reader. But I think the HDD is a lost cause. I connected it to 2 different PC's with 2 different external HDD mounts, but windows doesn't even give any notice of it being connected and nothing comes up with PS3 reader either. I suspect the HDD is dead, since even the PS3 stuff freezes when it tries to access the drive. Any final suggestions. Just really want the final fantasy save file. I'll never forget to backup again lol
