PS3 FAT Overheating Problem

When i turn on my PS3 CECHG04 after 5-10 seconds it gives me a message saying that "The PS3 Is overheating" then it shuts down automatically. is this problem happening because the heat spreader doesnt have good contact with the CPU or RSX. or is it the thermal compound. please help

Hi, you need to remove the CPU/GPU headspreader and renew the thermal compound between the DIE's and the headspreader. After that the ps3 works fine again.

When you got that message your fan in ps3 is like a jet? Or is working normal?

it turns to a jet then it shuts down however i can use the console for the 5-10 seconds...

Then thermal paste, need to be replaced. First try between heatsink and ihs. If this don't help then probably you need change paste under IHS. Second one is not easy task and is dangerous, better if specialised service do this for you. but first one you can try at home.
